Better than 2-prong.
Using it on a generator. Unfortunately, the vibration sometimes shakes it loose and it unplugs.

Heavy duty, but is it weather resistant? And it is kind of pricey
This is a very heavy duty piece of equipment. Extra thick 10 gauge wire. Extra bulky UL rated L5-30 plug, lighted three port outlet. Seems well put together with top notch components. But is it weather resistant, as all generator components should be. Well, the label on the bag it comes in says yes, providing an STW or weather rating. And when I questioned the company rep here, he said yes too. The cord also has the bright orange cladding, which typically denotes weather rated cords. But strangely there is not a word about that in the product description online. There is no STW stamp on the cord itself. And the warning label on the cord says "Do not use when wet" in big bold letters and "keep away from water." Which is always a good idea in a generic sense. But then what does a weather rating really mean? It can only be used on nice sunny days?. That kind of weather. Not the other kind?. Plus there is another label that says "Temporary use only," Which does not instill confidence.Perhaps this is all the work of the legal staff, to keep the company from being sued. But it does make me question just when and where this cord can safely be used.
