It's the greatest purchase of the year for me!
Okay I wrote a VERY lengthy review which I accidentally deleted BUT I love this book so much so I'm going to write this again. The intro of the book includes three pages to write down your Ramadan goals, your Eid plan (like gift ideas, what you'll cook and then a shopping list) and a 'Qur'an mission statement'- so I guess a page for how many times you plan to complete reciting of the Qur'an. Nice idea since this is the month of the Qur'an itself! The main bulk of the book is dedicated to the actual days of Ramadan. So there is one page per day, with a space for the suhoor time / iftar time. There are eight small cups at the bottom to remind you to stay hydrated! And then a space for your list of duas, your list of reflections and then any inspiration. After ten pages there is a "check in" - which I think is lovely because I heard Omar Suleiman say once that people spend so much focus on the beginning and end of Ramadan that we forget the middle. So I think this is a nice reminder that we should give the month 100% every day and be constantly aware of ourselves and to certainly not become complacent. Then after the next ten days, there's a page dedicated specifically for your goals for laylatul qadr and then opposite that a page with some tips to help you really focus and make the best of it, which is really nice.At the end of the month there's a blank page dedicated to "your most memorable eid" where you can write down some of your fav memories to help you plan for this one. However, since the Eid page at the beginning is already so detailed I think I'm going to use it to put Polaroids in from this Eid and maybe some from this Ramadan so I can look back and swim in nostalgia inshallah haha. The last page really makes this book worth while for future Ramadan because there is a place to reflect on previous ramadans which is SUCH a great idea. It's nice because it reminds us to be mindful of the next Ramadan. As stated in many Ahadith, the sahabas used to pray even six months after Ramadan that their fasts of that year would be accepted. Then the following six months they would pray to make it to the next Ramadan. May Allah grant us this level of dedication Inshallah!May Allah grant sister Reyhana who designed this lovely planner the highest level of jannah and accept all the good deeds that are inspired by this book inshallah and bless all of the income she receives from this book! And I pray that all of us make it to the end of this Ramadan and many others and let each one be better than the one before it. Ameen!
