The rebar rods that you drive into the asphalt it definitely helps stop the vehicles from driving too fast when you’re backing in it definitely does help and saves you some money. Thanks for everything.

Perfect for small retaining walls on railroad ties
Edit: Since I reviewed the seller has done the shady practice of changing the item to half the quantity I had. I still like them but the value obviously changes. We've been turning a small hillside into a couple tiered gardens and decided on railroad ties to keep things in place. Naturally you need something to keep them in place and I'd been thinking about just cutting my own rebar until I came across these. I like the coating that has a better chance of protecting the metal when it won't be protected in concrete like rebar is designed to be and this having a nail-type shape makes it very easy to use. I drilled half inch holes in our ties with an auger bit and this pounded in easily with a small sledge hammer. We have some pretty rocky soil but they must have broken the rocks or just pushed them out of the way because we didn't have trouble with a single one. From the beginning I had a lot of faith in them because of the sturdy tip. The 16 inches is just right for getting all the way through the 8-10 inches with a good bit able to get out the other end that is enough to provide stability. In our case and other landscape uses the head means when you're ready for something new you can get at it to remove it too. Nothing I'd change about these at all. I'd like to see how well an 18-20 inch version would go in our ground but as this product stands I'm very happy and just ordered another set to finish the job.

An Upgrade to Rebar but Paint Not Perfect
These ground stakes are a heavy duty upgrade. They are basically like giant rebar nails so there are all kinds of uses for them. They do have a fair amount of paint issues though; chips, cracks, splits, scratches, and flaking paint. I have included some pictures (one with a permanent marker for scale) of the stakes as well as the issues. I am not sure how much of an issue some of these will be, for instance the flaking on the top seems to reveal another layer of coating not the bare metal. However, the metal is exposed in several places which is a concern as I live in a particularly humid climate. They came in a plastic gift box which was not sturdy enough to hold them which probably did not help. Overall these are a nice improvement over standard rebar and are better looking. For seasonal projects or short term use the paint on my set would be an issue for rust. For permanent projects, it may be less of an issue. Overall I like the idea of these and they are very sturdy, I just wish the paint was more consistent.

Holds the carport down
I used these to stake down my carport, 16 is enough to put 2 stakes on each pole. So far so good, survived March anyway.

Like a giant nail
I need to use some timbers as a base for a greenhouse and want a way to secure them to the ground. My first inkling is to drill holes through the wood posts and hammer in plain rebar. Discovering these rebar stakes makes more sense. The tapered ends will be easily to drive into thick clay soil. The stakes are grooved like rebar to resist vertical movement. The ends are like nail heads to hold timbers securely, and allow me to use a crowbar if I ever decide to pull them back out. These have a nice finish to prevent rust and corrosion.
