CR01 Ceramic Rollerball Pen Matte Black

It's a very well made pen, thick enough for me to grab onto for long writing sessions. Ink flow is fine, and they dry very quickly. The color of the pen is nice, reminded me of my Tombow pens. It has a rubber grip so it's very comfortable when using it. The roller ball is made out of ceramic so they pen rolls a little bit smoother when writing. The weight is also very balance, you can feel the weight, but the pen is balance, and not heavy enough to cause fatigue.

I had listened to a review of this pen which seemed to rate it only marginally well. I wanted to try a ceramic rollerball so got one despite the tepid review, and I am so glad I got one. I'm immediately hooked by the overall writing experience. The weight and feel of the pen itself is wonderful. Nice quality feel to it. The ink flow is incredibly consistent and smooth, and the line quality is just beautiful -- dense and sharp with the lightest stroke. Love it. I will most definitely grab another of these. Especially at this price point, why not?

I love OHTO pens, they have a really satisfying weight to them that makes you feel like you're using a premium product, even though most of their line is very reasonably priced. This pen holds up to that standard, cool metal with a pleasing solidity to it.

Love this pen. A bit scratchy on low quality paper though. Love the weight and the chunky feel. The rubber on the barrel is nice as well. Writes very smooth on my nicer notebooks. For those who dont know, the 01 is chunky and the 02 is skinny. I like a larger feeling pen. Weight is just right. Another great addition to my collection of pens.

This pen was recommended to me from a top pen YouTube video. The ceramic refill was mentioned as excellent feature, but that wasn't my experience. Pen was delivered in a small cardboard box, it had the appearance and weight of a premium pen. I liked it's thicker body design and rubber grip. Unfortunately, the writing experience is unusable, I would even describe it as infuriating. I used it for 5-8 hours on the day it was delivered and it felt like there was sand in the ball. My pen skip and it has inconsistent ink flow, creating unexpected line variations. When ink does flow correctly, it feels similar to a Pilot G-2. Ink dries quickly and is dark. For $20, I highly recommend it. As an alternative, I would suggest a Pentel Energel. Edit: I raised it to 4 stars Pentel refills will work with the pen. This solves my main problem, but at the cost of spending more. Edit #2: I've been using this item for over a year and love it. My initial experience with the ceramic was bad, but the pen is my goto with a swapped cartridge.

Awesome looking pen. Great feel in the hand and comfortable writing with it. The ink is deep shade of black. However, it bleeds through most papers, even high quality paper meant for fountain pens. Otherwise I would give it five stars.

I think it is very well made but sometimes well made doesn’t always mean heavy. This is a heavy pen. Better to not post it. Similar feel to a Tombow zoom if you are familiar.
