Did exactly what it was bought for; holding a 2" bar for floor work

Not really for a 1 inch bar
It will fit over a 1 inch bar but you have to use a spinlock to stop it sliding down the bar as it's really for a 2 inch bar and it's also a bit too long. The combination of needing to use the spinlock and the length of the product really cuts down the number of plates you can use on my bar to 3 plates which obviously limits the total mass you can lift. i couldn't find one for a 1 inch bar so this is a reasonable compromise but if i see a 1 inch product i will swap it out.It's a sturdy product though - so would be excellent for 2 inch bar i imagine.
