Helping Hand 26-inch Handi Grip Reacher

This arrived in a large long box which felt over sized and was also wrapped in plastic..tch tchThe shaft is very short and the picker does not feel very strong again compared to previous versions I've used. The pull lever is hooked which is cumbersome and annoying and the picker does not lock in position. So the user must have a fairly good grip to hold the lever mechanism in . The whole purpose of a picker is to save stooping and this fails in that way that, even I , being short , have to stoop to use it, which renders it rather limited. It does not have any magnetic tips or side so is no good for picking keys etc off the floor. I'm also sorry I got 2 as I have twice the disappointment !

My elderly mother can even pick up dropped pills with it and it clips to her zimmer so can go everywhere with her

Wonderful! Well worth the money. I have 2 of these and couldn't manage without them.. the shorter length upstairs to help with clothes and the longer downstairs for loads of things. It grips really well.. better than 2 other types I've tried which were a waste of money. It's lightweight and can lift a shoe but not heavier eg a boot or a wet towel). I even use it to pick up leaves and get heads off dandelions! Yes get one! Even if you're healthy, it'll save your back and is a useful tool anyway.

This is the best grabber I have ever used. It can pick up all sorts of things. The longer version is better in my opinion but it will depend on the individual preference of the user.The gripping part is soft rather than hard so objects do not slip as you pick them up. It's easy picking up pens, pencils, tv remote controls or spectacles with this grabber as long as you can reach the end to grab object or can put it somewhere you can reach it.The grabbing section can be turned to be inline or at 90 degrees in relaton to the handle - that is horizontal or vertical. (I use a telescopic magnet as well for metallic objects.)

What can I say about this only that it certainly is my "helping hand" I don't know what I would do without it. I have two, one I keep upstairs and one I keep downstairs. I have had two hip replacements and I use them both to put my tights on as I can't bend particularly well. I have had other handy grips but for me, this particular one is the best, I have to take a tablet which is very very small I once dropped it, but out came my Helping Hand and picked it up, no problem. I have even picked up a pin with it.

Arrived before del.date. box was ridiculously massive! And was not sealed so the lid was open. Product itself is very disappointing, cheap plastic and the curved grippers at the end when closed are not aligned. Bought as a gift to help an elderly lady ...bit embarrassed to give it to her. Handle, when pulled does not feel strong enough to hold heavy products such as a tin. Ok for picking up socks and small light objects. The pull cord (wire attached to handle and gripper) looks as if it won't last long if over used ..may cause it to stretch and get loose. Going to let my kids play with it and look for a better product. I feel I didn't get what I paid for as the price was not as cheap as others I had seen. This is more like the cheap kids toys you would win at the fete.

This has proved really useful when reaching for items to save me having to bend down which as a disabled person I am finding increasingly difficult. Although there is an adaptation for attaching to either a walking frame or wheelchair, a strap would be useful as I have dropped it and had to bend to pick it up which sort of defeats the object. It came quickly and seems quite sturdy so I would definitely recommend it as a useful tool to have.

It is sturdy grabber whis is usefull for picking stuff up in awkward places. Can pick up litter in garden too. Save bending down.
