TITAN- 12V DC Double Rack Mount Ventilation Cooling Fan for Fridge Vent and Ventilation Grille with Speed Controller (90mm)

I have Norcold 1210T refrigerator that struggles to hold cold at my desired 34-36°F during 90°F+ heat in direct sun. I ordered this fan set and was able to open my top fridge slide out vent panel and drop the remote and power wires down along the wall by flexing the baffle wood panel outward and working the cable to the far left past the the upper fins. I made sure to keep a hand on the fan power plug so that I did not drop it down as the fans are to be mounted on the top and blowing out of the panel. Once I got over to the far left, I was able to start working down by sort of bouncing the wires along with the remote used as a pendulum weight while my wife was below watching for success. Once I got the power/ground wires and remote down and she worked it all out the lower vent area, I simply needed to T-Tap into any two of the labeled 12V+/12V- wire pairs. I used the thermal safety switch (a recall add on for you guys with older 1210 fridges), T-Tapped on and connected the fan's power and ground and immediately was able to test that the wired remote had power. All good. Then I went up top again and used an oscillating tool to remove a large portion of the upper wood baffle panel so that the fans could sit back enough to re-install the upper vent panel. The fans themselves are hanging from the 2 upper clips on the fan assembly, the bottom is not attached. It is simply hanging there. So for going on the road, I will just go up and unplug ad remove the fans and tie the wire harness up so that it does not fall. It will take 2 minutes to remove. I guess if I cared, I could zip-tie the fans to the vent panel, but its not a big deal to me. You decide how you want to handle that. I wrapped the thermal sensor wire around the big round cylinder thing that is easily accessed in the lower panel, I made sure to wrap 3 turns with the end of the thermostat wire folded under the triple wrap and tucked under as I pulled it tight. This has been working perfectly and the fans come on quickly after the propane kicks on the heat the ammonia. I have been using the auto setting and I am holding tight on 32-34 degrees on setting 7 of 9 while in direct sun. I am happy to see my freezer box finally holding single digits with ease as well. I am seeing 4°F to 10°F in the freezer. I did not attempt to run the remote inside the camper body to the kitchen area, instead I tucked it on the left side of the outside lower vent where I dropped the harness down and can easily access it there is desired. I use the Amazon sourced fridge/freezer remote thermometer kit titled "AcuRite Digital Wireless Fridge and Freezer Thermometer with Alarm and Max/Min Temperature for Home" and it works flawlessly and we both love it. I bought it April of 2021 and have replaced the AA batteries 1 time. I do use Amazon Basics batteries and have had very good luck with them. I recommend that you check them out. Overall, I am very happy with this fan kit and would buy it again. I wish that the bracket kit were more adaptable to be capable of securing to my unique vent covers. But the ease of install and performance of the fans has me happy.

This is a well thought out fan system/controller and very simple to install. It's quiet, smooth, and the twin 120mm fans move some air. I put this in the top side vent of my RV to help remove warm air from the RV refrigerator. Norcold is known for not put enough or big enough fans to dissipate the heat from the heat exchanger on the rear of the frig. This will hopefully accomplish that task and the refrigerator will operate more efficiently and provide better cooling when the frig side is in direct sunlight. It was pretty easy to mount, but the tough part was fishing the wires through the wall and to the back of the frig. The power cable could have been a couple feet longer and I wouldn't have had to splice/solder on about two feet extra. Other than that, it's a great product.

Had this recommended to me for my RV (Roadtrek van). Purchased this 2 fan unit from Amazon. Priced well. Arrived in timely manner. Out of the box, I was concerned that the wires coming out of the remote control unit weren't properly constructed (see picture showing exposed inner wires), but after several back and fourths with Titan (they were responsive) I decided to use it because although none of their reps specifically stated that that was how they are supposed to look, they did say it was OK. From the sales videos, it looked easy to install, etc. However, when I got down to it, it was immediately apparent that my external grill would not work with the provided mounting system. Not a big deal, as four zip ties did the trick easily. Then, I discovered that by installing the fan in the center of the grill (as they did in their videos), the cover would not fit back on to the van because the gas pipes were in the way. Again, not a big deal, just had to shift it over to the right 4 inches. The hardest part was installing the remote control unit into the van. There was plenty of wire length, but I ended up having to remove the fridge in order to snake the wires through, as well as get the recommended placement of the temp sensor at 1" above the evaporator. Much more work than I originally envisioned! At the end of the day, this unit is working as it is supposed to. I left the van fridge on with LP overnight (in Florida), and the unit cooled down in just over 14 hours, which is much much better than in the past. I believe this will help a lot going forward. One last thing, is that they also make custom 3 and 4 fan versions of this solution, but that was not readily apparent to me on the Amazon site. I might've purchased a three fan model had I known, becasue down here in Florida, my van fridge needs all the help it can get!

My fridge had died on me or I thought.... start researching the problem on the net and remembered the same type of problem on an older RV... I just jammed a small house fan in the opening then and it worked well and a must have during those common near or over 100 degree days where I live in my modern fifth wheel. But this really can and I think usually is a multi faceted problem in most cases. Below are the other solutions I have used that have given me an absolutely perfect running fridge NO MATTER what the outside temp. Seems simple, but good quality when you open it up . If you using/are on a 120v extension cord and especially a long one, using too many items at the same times (fans, coffee maker, ice maker, microwave, TV etc. etc.) you will cause the supply line to be over loaded especially if a small gauged wired ext cord (anything under 12g.) By changing to a 10-3 Gauge extension cable I stopped my refrigerator problems altogether... I can even run the AC unit now on this simple 120 15 amp circuit which was never possible before. I liked the fast delivery of this product, only took two days.I had researched this product thoroughly before purchasing it. It's expensive for what you get, but the wired automatic or manual control for the fan made me pay the high cost. I have had this fan on in manual mode for two days straight, 24 hours a day, then in automatic mode for another 24 hours, and I am REALLY IMPRESSED with how it removed the hot air at the top of my fridge compartment. My fridge is in a slide out, so I installed the fan on the top vent on side of slide. The anchor brackets would not fit my vent cover, so I ended up tying the fan to the vent cover using black tyraps. I think it is mounted more securely using the tyraps than the brackets, as they might vibrate loose in time. I took a chance on this rather expensive exhaust fan, but after using it, and seeing the results of lower temperatures in my refrigerator, I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone who needs to cool down their fridge. My refrigerator would only get down to 55/60 degrees in the bottom section, and that's with a dual fan on the fins blowing air to circulate the inside air. With this new exhaust fan in the back of the fridge, it is at 35 degrees in the bottom and 10 degrees in the freezer. The outside temperature here where I live in Texas has been mid 90 degrees all week. This fan has really impressed me and if I ever need another exhaust fan for my RV, I WILL buy another Titan Double Rack cooling fan for sure!

OK, the fans are good quality DC fans and the rack is convenient but don't believe the "easy to install" video or hype. It is not OVERLY difficult to install but if you are not handy with such things this may confound you. The instructions are "universal" meaning they are so general as to be nearly useless, but the good news is that they're in many languages. : ) Sadly the translation to english was not done by a native english speaker so it's not that clear but its adequate and fun to read. Also remember that you need to install these fans (if you're using them to vent your RV fridge) correctly to do any real good. That is, on the lower vent the air should be blowing IN toward the back of the fridge. If your fridge is in a slideout the upper fan should be blowing OUT of the top vent. If your fridge is roof vented you can skip the upper fan but if you do use an upper fan it should be mounted blowing UP toward the rood vent. All of this will aid the natural convection airflow that is intended to cool the fridge coils. The instructions don't mention this and in fact the drawing on the box shows the air coming out of the lower vent, which will actually impede the normal cooling air flow. The remote control IS NOT a remote, it's wired. It works well, is very simple (and a bit flimsy) but is not remote at all, that's why I gave the rating of 1 for remote control.

Just installed last night. I have a dometic fridge, but the vents I have are not like what was pictures in the product. I knew buying it I would have to customize it. Because of how closely the cover sits you the fridge fine I could not attach the fans to the cover. I cut the wood enough to fit the fans and screwed them the the front wall. I put the temperature switch in above the microwave and wired into the existing fan. After I was all done I realized that I really don't need the themostat that came with it since I wired it right into the existing fan. So I am going to redo that part of it. I turned the fidge on (I am in Arizona) to test... It didn't take long for the fans to kick in and man do they move a ton of air quickly. It cooled the find off in a matter of minutes. So far I am highly impressed with these. Quality is good and exactly what I was looking for. Great value for the price!

Works great! Was a bit intimidating to install but video was helpful. You have to pay attention to the way the clips should go or it won’t fit onto the grill well. Finding the 12 volt attachment place was the most challenging part for us as we have very limited electrical knowledge and a high fear factor. We used a volt meter, the electrical diagram from the new refrigerator and cut the 120 power off before attaching the electrical hook up. This part of the instructions was vague. We drilled a hole ( scary) and fed the control wires into the motorcoach and attached the control box inside a cabinet. It works great and is very quiet. I also have a battery operated refrigerator fan on the inside of the refrigerator. We had no issues with the refrigerator keeping cold, the freezer kept everything frozen even the ice cream on a very hot weekend.

Installed this fan on the vent under the seat of our vans battery/ inverter/chargers etc to help with the extraction of heat on those warm days. Works very well & love the auto mode and the fact you can easily turn off when not using. Nice kit with clear instructions
