Cooper Pegler CP15 Classic 15lt Professional Knapsack Sprayer

Found this very uncomfortable to carry and I am a pretty fit person. There is a more up to date version of the CP15 available on amazon and cheaper.At £155 I expected this to be the ultimate piece of kit. I used it to spray my roof with moss killer and the alarm bells should have been ringing when I was feeling severe discomfort on my shoulders within an hour. I was only filling the container up to the 11ltr mark each time and after using the unit for 6 hrs I had dark red bruising on my shoulders and they were extremely sore. This is a unit that you should be to be able to work with on a daily basis but there is no chance of that with just the basic straps. There is a newer version of this available with padded straps and handles for easy lifting and shaking contents plus its cheaper. I am so furious with myself for falling for this one as this is a very expensive piece of kit. I only realized that I had made a blunder after watching the Cooper Pegler youtube video of the product. It has been 3 days since I used this unit and I am still in a lot of pain. There is no way I would use this unit again with out fitting some sort of padding to the straps. Believe me when I say this is ultra un comfortable if you are going to be using it for several hours. I am giving this one star because of the discomfort and over pricing of this obviously out dated version of the CP15.

Had one of these for nearly twenty years and its still working fine. I don't see any spares or nozzles on amazon though.

Having used this equipment for years,I decided to replace my trusty old knapsack CP15 about 18 months ago and the resulting unit is a complete waste of time. It leaks ( the old one did not) The diaphragm ruptured within a year. The lance is best described as inadequate and certainly not of professional quality. I would not recommend to buy one. This was once a brilliant piece of kit. No longer

When not in use, There is no holster/clip for the lance. It just has to lay on the floor. The pumping arm sticks out at 90 degrees to the body and also lays along the floor. In use, because of having a diaphragm pump it requires a constant small stroke pumping action to keep the spray going. My advice is to steer clear of diaphragm pumps and make sure the lance can be stowed away properly.

I replaced my well used 22yr old model with a CP15 in 2017. After 20 mins the tanks started leaking around the diaphragm. The supplier kindly supplied a replacement model and it had exactly the same outcome. I'm only using an off the shelf diluted weedkiller. The main UK supplier just told me that since this model is now made in China it lacks the build quality consistency and that I should give up and buy a Berthoud Pro Confort instead.
