Top Gun Maverick (2022) [4K UHD]

Sequels are hard to do especially if they follow a mega-favorite first movie and since I wasn't a huge fan of the first one I honestly didn't expect much of the second and I even expected them to kill off Maverick.Don't get me wrong, the first movie was great in many ways if you can overlook the corny dialog and acting and the rediculous ending. I'm glad it had a happy ending but some of the storyline was pretty bad. What made the movie great was the flying scenes, cockpit views (done in a way that put you in it with them) and Tom Cruise. Love him or hate him but he is a force in movies.The sequel is a complete movie with a complete storyline and some great dialog. Sure they let some of the first bravado into it but not so much it was annoying. Then there is the flying. You can't beat Cruise actually in a jet (while not flying but experiencing the forces at and). The man is game for anything if it will help a movie. I liked the original actress (although her acting was weak) but Connelly does a great job in fairly limited role. In the end the movie was almost perfect and I can't find much to not like. It brought me to tears at times and got me with emotions I was having trouble keeping hidden. I've seen it 2 times now and it was better the second time. That's always a good thing and bodes well for the future rewatchings. Great story, great inclusion of Val Kilmer, and just an overall fun movie.

I was a candidate for the Air Force Academy in 75. It was my dream to fly fighter jets and get into NASA. Ended up a crash and burn.Top Gun lit my flames back in the 80’s and this magical sequel filled my soul.I’m not a big fan of Lady Gaga, but her voice and words at the finale brought me to tears.

This movie surpasses the first Top Gun, in almost every single way. They piloting scenes are unmatched by any other movie to date and I found myself holding my breath. It of course has some of its "cheesy" moments, but frankly they almost feel like a nod to the original. As a sequel to what would have been a one of movie, it was done perfect. There was a tasteful amounts of artistic references to the original movie, which really is homage to the fans who spent the money and time, trusted them to make a sequel to a movie that by all accounts didn't really have a plot to continue.

A bit of artistic license here. Where did Jennifer come from? F-14 in a foreign country armed and ready to go? Tom wears a helmit in aircraft, including after he left it behind, but does not wear a helmit on his Kawasaki?

Great movie and the picture was great.

I will be watching this movie over and over again because I like Tom Cruise.

While it does not have the immediate impact of the original Top Gun that attracted hundreds of young people to investigate a career in Naval Aviation. It is entertaining, if a bit off center in credibility. )Mach10???). If you want a better treatment of Naval Aviation, watch "Devotion".

Easily one of the best action movies ever made. Simple, interesting, lots of action and great cast!That’s an example of how movies should be. This is what people want to see, not the current preaching crap about how bad we are as people and other woke BS.

Cóż powiedzieć, film - klasyka gatunku. Bardzo dobra kontynuacja pierwej części Top Gun. Jakość na wysokim poziomie. Obraz 4K Dolby Vision i dźwięk oryginalny Dolby Atmos. Do tego polski lektor w DD 5.1. Są też oczywiście polskie napisy. Na płycie BD. Dźwięk Dolby Atmos, polski lektor w DD5.1 i napisy. Obowiązkowa pozycja w kolekcji. Napiszę krótko – zdecydowanie polecam.

The quality of both the movie and the disc did not disappoint. The whole family enjoyed it. Stunning in 4K, I would definitely opt again for this over a cheaper ordinary Blu-ray.
