Best and most versatile training tool ever
I was watching Caesar Milan one day explaining that, as a child, his father taught him to train dogs using only two commands. The first was a "kissing" sound which means "come". The second was approximately "CCCHHHTT" which means "stop what you are doing". The Pet Convincer II makes a nearly identical sound to my ear and so after looking at all the collars from $300.00 and WAY up, I chose to try this $25.00 tool and the results were amazing. We have a 14 month old Golden Retriever who jumped up on EVERYONE who came to the house. I used this tool once, on her flank, as directed and she has kept all four feet on the ground ever since. That was four weeks ago and, in addition, when I make the sound with my mouth, as Caesar Milan does, she immediately stops whatever she is doing. There is no more digging, and no more counter surfing. I purchased 12 additional Co2 cartridges which I will never use. Even if you know how to read and handle dogs, this is an amazing, versatile, gentle and kind method to help your dog behave. I am truly convinced that my Golden is a happier dog when she behaves and receives my heartfelt praise and love. Its like your middle school, juvenile delinquent (without malice) child skipped grade 8, just graduated from high school, and is on their way to the college of YOUR choice.

POOR Product -Exploded!! Poor Customer Service!
Although this training device was easy to use and VERY effective, it lasted less than 2 weeks with ZERO response from the manufacturer. My device worked well at first. My bulldog responded immediately to the action. I went to change the empty cartridge and it literally exploded off the back of the head! I thought it might be a detective cartridge so attempted to change and it immediately discharged the CO2. Hubby tried a third time and same thing. The nozzle was ICE cold. We truly believe the nozzle pin is defective. I attempted to go back into my orders and return it, but there was no option for this product to return, but did offer " customer support". I did an online chat with Amazon rep who sent me a link to the manufacturer to describe the problem which I did. I was told by Amazon that I should hear directly from the company within 5-7 business days, which I did not. Now I called Amazon customer service and spoke with a live rep who immediately refunded my purchase. I will not buy this product again. After so many bad reviews of the durability and reliability of this product, it is not worth the money. Pet Stores sell small cans of compressed air which works just as well, longer uses, and easy to carry. Don't waste your money!!!

Works like magic!
This is magic! My rottweiler was aggressive but only on leash. I used this twice with the "No" command and the behavior stopped. The was over 8 yrs ago and now I can walk her anywhere with no issues. I recently acquired a new healer/malinois mix barked at everything 3 times of using this it stopped. Now I have a peaceful house and the girls are very respectful of their boundaries. There have been times when I have needed it and didn't have it on me but I can just make the nosie and wallah respect is there. Just to be clear this for use in the air and not aimed at the dog directly. I am starting it on the neighbors dogs that bark all the time and it seems that I may win peace in my backyard finally!

Interrupts my reactive dog!
Beau "fixates" on other dogs and lunges to attack. Not so good, since he's a little guy and they are always bigger than he is! He's about 10 years old (a rescue) and one trainer said he wouldn't change. Another trainer recommended Pet Convincer and it is beginning to make a difference. It breaks his locked-in fixation on other dogs long enough that I can regain his attention. He has mellowed out enough to make to doggie pals now, and is much less fearful. I doubt I'll ever take him to a dog park, but I'm optimistic that he will have a calmer life now, and I am much less likely to get in the middle of a dog fight!

Pet Convincer 2
PLEASE CONSIDER COMPRESSED AIR BEFORE ANY SHOCK COLLAR!!!!!! I would even encourage you to buy the disposable compressed air at Petco/PetSmart to see if this is the route you want to go before a shock collar. The disposable canister is around 20 dollars and will last you about two weeks. We decided to use air training for our dog instead of a shock collar, and although he's far from perfect he's made strides on his training with this tool. He's reactive/skittish so this tool was perfect for correcting some behaviors, or getting his attention. To be honest this particular tool is meh at best. The CO2 cartridges they use only last about a week, but they sell them in a 10 pack so quantity over quality. The warranty is also voided if you use a different cartridge than their own brand FYI. Although this particular item isn't the best, I do love the peace of mind I get knowing that I can be back in control of outings with my pup.

Works great, but leaks.
I just moved from the country to the city and my dogs were having a hard time adjusting to leash walking and encountering other dogs. A neighbor recommended a similar device as a painless way to get their attention and break their frantic tugging toward the other dog. It works! When I spray their shoulder with the air it startles them, and they look at me. Then I can praise and get the walk going again. I would call it an "Interruptor". I don't know that it "convinces" them, but it interrupts their fixation for the split second that I need to intervene. My only criticism is that it leaks air slowly so that the canister runs out when it should still have air. I have had a few canisters run out after just 3-4 puffs. Maybe it's the device, maybe it's the canister, but since they go together, the comment must apply to both. Replacement canisters I ordered from another company seem to be holding better. I would definately recommend the devise to start a new behavior.

Defective
Product is defective. Unfortunately, I purchased this to replace my other Pet Convincer, which I loved, that was broken by my nephew. The pin that punctures the cartridge is not right on the item I received. I screwed it in all the way, and nothing happened. No psssst sound at all. Then, after trying a couple more times, it finally punctured, but would not stop leaking gas. I burned through 3 cartridges in this way. What a waste. I want my money back, but Amazon will not allow returns on this item. Boo.

I ordered TWO OF THESE, and BOTH blew their o-ring out where the co2 cart screws into the trigger assembly. The second barely still works, as it leaks out the CO2. I have to make sure I use up the entire cart because if not, it will seep out anyways. I didn't give a 1 star only because I am still using the second one even though the o-ring it pushing out of place and seeps. I only ordered the second one because AMAZON gave me back my money for the first one, not wanting to judge the entire product off of one experience, because I really value the usefulness of the tool brings, I ordered the second one. Both within two weeks of minimal use blew the o-ring. Minimal use meaning two days a week, five or six times a day spread out over 3 hours of training different dogs. I wouldn't spend the amount of money this costs. Too expensive to only have it work for two weeks.
