Cool cheap kilt
For a cheap kilt it is great. The only thing that really bothers me is that the metal pieces used to close it are kind of loose, so one of the two while wearing tends to open and can create issues. Apart from that is a cheap kilt so it is cool, I'll probably make my dressmaker modify this.It looks a wee bit larger than my measured waist, not too much

Kilts for wearing and fun
"Proper" kilts cost upwards of UKP200, so I was agreably surpised - no; delighted - when this. UKP20 kilt arrived [ the same price as jeans!]. I'm not a kilt expert, but having attended my annual Clan Rally for 25 years I have a vague idea what to expect. No, this is not a dress kilt to wear to Holyrood or the Clan Ball, but for day to day wear around the house [ or the village] it is wholly admirable, and that is all it claims to be [ that's my five star rating]. It uses a light but good-imitation-wool acrylic cloth that can, so the label says, be washed, and presumably keeps its creases. It is only a '5 yard' kilt ['proper' kilts use 8 yards], but that is good enough certainly for most of summer and only a tailor would notice the 'hang'. It has two leather straps to tighten the waist rather than three, but they work. Note that kilts usually are worn self supporting, the wide belt, when worn, being largely for show. Though I am actually using appropriate braces at the moment to get the length dead right [ only one kilt length]. Three loops hold the wide belt and sporran. Wife approved stitching. As for the Tartan, a wholly inoccuous anonymous dark grey on gray that would cause no offence anywhere.Glad I bought it ! For those who are wondering whether to start out on kilt wear, this provides a really cheap introduction. All the fine silver buckled jackets and such like expenisve stuff can come later. The necessary are a cagoule on top [ it has, they tell me, been known to rain in western Scotland], and long [ eg sports] socks. And, oh yes, a [preferably soft] sporran or purse on a strapβ no pockets in a kilt!

Good value for a 5 yard kilt
The fit in the waist is good and the length is the same as my custom made kilts. The only downside is that with five yards, the pleats do not lie as well as with a traditional eight yard kilt which is to be expected and certainly is not a draw back with this item. The quality is very good as is the colour and weave. For a "casual" kilt this is very good quality with an exceptional price point. The seller was prompt and sent shipping info very quickly which I was able to track both through the Royal Mail and Canada Post websites. For an overseas purchase (to Canada), it came well before the expected usual time frame.

Great Kilt. Good value for money.
If like me you need good to a Burns night party once a year, this is ideal. Looks the part but isn't expensive.

Excellent cheap proper kilt.
Excellent for the money. Wouldn't recommend for formal wear, as it is very lightweight and clearly looks cheap. But that's what I wanted for this super low price.

Make sure you order 2 sizes up
Actually surprised at the quality. Obvously not same as a real kilt but I can easily re-use for another stag/lads doo. I would order 2 sizes above your own though as im a 34 and it would barely wrap round. Got the 38 as a replacement and it fits perfect.

Feels better than trousers: cheap and good value.
As an ignarent guy I needed help to figure out how to put it on. Pleats at the front or back? No pockets therefore will need to buy a belt etc.

not only was this kilt too small, this kilt ...
not only was this kilt too small, this kilt was marked up as W34. when i measured it with a tape measure nearly reached W31.the measure chart for ease should just convert waist size to kilt size...without telling people how to measure for kilt size. why not just say if you wear size 34 jeans you need a size 38 kilt.I have returned this kilt, am currently waiting for a larger size to be delivered.
