needed something to hold my phone on the way to the circuit. simple enough requirement you'd think the concept is solid. one touch release, clips onto the air vent, phone goes in easy enough. first day on a normal road it was fine. looked good, held the phone, no complaints then i took it on track corner three at Silverstone and the whole thing started vibrating like it was having a moment. by the back straight my google maps had rotated 90 degrees and my spotify had somehow changed to a podcast about garden furniture. had no idea how to be fair iOttie probably didn't design this with 200mph in mind and that's a reasonable position to take. for normal human driving it's probably adequate. the wobble on a regular road is minor, just noticeable enough to be annoying on bumps it's also slightly loose on my particular vents which i think depends on your car three stars. wouldn't say don't buy it, just maybe don't take it to Monaco my engineer has suggested I use a RAM mount instead. he's not wrong but it's less convenient

I really liked the "same unit" i bought a few years ago. Only issue was after a few years the clamp stopped holding the unit (with phone attached) on the air vent. I did get a few years out the original unit so I bought another one. The replacement unit is an improvement over the first one in design. I fully expect this one to last longer than the car vent it is attached to. Very well made and the design is simple and easy to install. Bottom line, I highly recommend this product.

Used to have one similar to this that I can no longer find. The trigger that secured the phone was way more sensitive but half the time the phone wasn't fully seated back into the mount. This unit works quite well, I just need to get used to how much I need to press the phone in.
