Great little shovel
Bought this to use while metal detecting. Nice compact tool which looks to be well constructed. Can’t wait to use it.

Interesting combination
This is an interesting one. I bought it as a present for my husband for Christmas and he likes it, so that’s what matters...haven’t taken it out to use yet, but my first impression is that it has one too many pieces to put together. There’s a section of the handle that we could have done without, but can easily assemble it without that to make it lighter. I think they could have made it serve more functions than just a shovel (very sharp to double as an axe) and ferro rod. I imagine as soon as we start using it as a shovel, it will dull and not serve well as an axe.

Very handy.
This is one of the purchases you make and hope you never have to use. I figured it would be a good idea to have a small shovel in the trunk of my car for emergencies. It goes together very well and is very compact. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do, it will be very handy.

Kinda dangerous
The build quality is great, and it is a solid shovel and pick, if used correctly. The edges and tips are sharp, which is great, but there are some flaws in the design of this product. The shovel is basically a pick that you can fold down to use as a shovel. It's superb when used as a pick, but dangerous when used as a shovel. When the head is folded down, the sharp tip of the pick is parallel to the handle. The only safe way to use it when folded down is if you have small hands that fit between the handle and the tip of the pick. It's better when extended as your hand is away from the tip of the pick. The scary part is if your hand slips down, say if you unexpectedly hit a rock. The sharp tip of the pick is pointed towards you and is positioned in a way that can easily pierce your hand.Unless I'm doing it wrong, I'm hesitant to use this shovel for anything other than a pickaxe. Maybe if I had thick enough gloves I'd consider using the shovel, but only in an emergency. It's a shame because this would have been a solid shovel/pickaxe combo, but I like my hands a lot so this may remain unused.

It's nice for the price
I was looking for a small camping shovel and was intrigued by the other features on this tool. Overall it's a nice multi-tool, but I wouldn't count on some of the features. The sawing feature, for example, will probably only work on smaller branches. You're not going to be chopping or sawing any big logs with this. That's ok, as long as you know what you're getting into. Other reviews have already covered the positives, so I'll mention a few negatives. The extension handles are nice, but I wish there was a way to store them without having them all assembled into one long handle. Also, the carrying pouch feels a little flimsy. It's hard to pull the blade out without catching the edges on the fabric. Finally, the instructions are confusing. The English translations are bad, and they show a blade that doesn't even exist on this tool. There is no straight blade for sawing as far as I can tell, just the edge of the shovel.

Decent Utility Tool but no Knife
The listing shows how to use this tool, and in a lot of the pictures there is a knife (cut, scrape, start a fire, and saw). Just so you know, this does not come with one. I am a bit disappointed as this was one of the selling points for me. That said, it does have a lot of other handy features that could prove useful. When it is broken down, it is nice and compact for storage. It would have been nice if they included a carry bag for all the pieces, but you only get a cover for the shovel. You won't want to lose this, as the edges of the shovel are also a machete and a saw. When you build it up it feels robust. The shovel head can also be locked down at different angles and tightened with a nut. This feels like it could take some abuse, which is good. I don't see myself using this much, but if I were unprepared and didn't have anything else... this would be nice to have.

Perfect Survival Shovel
I mostly just needed a shovel I wanted to keep in my truck for emergencies or camping, so this survival shovel has more than lived up to my needs. I love that it comes apart for easy storage, and being all metal makes me confident that it will survive some abuse. The pick axe function will also be incredibly useful if I need to dig out any rocks. I definitely got more for my money with this tool, so I highly recommend it.

Well made with versatility
I liked that this item had a lot of purpose. It’s multi uses will make it a must take tool fishing or camping. It’s well made very sharp, the holder for the blade is made with Velcro it’s the only part that’s cheap as shown on picture. The assembly of this item took only five minutes, I’m a female and if I CAN PUT IT TOGETHER ANYONE CAN. For the price it’s a good buy because you can use it to cut anything even wood.
