I bought this for making beauty products, although used alone is absolutely wonderful. Surprisingly it’s softer than most tallows, which is fine, I would whip it up anyway to make it more buttery but this is really good quality! Even though I already have a separate jar of it I use for cooking, I would dip out of this also if I needed or wanted to. Also the smell isint as strong as other tallows I have. People need to understand that this is an animal product and will never be totally, exactly the same for various reasons and it does have a bit of a smell to it. I add essential oils sometimes but if you use it alone on your body you do not stink. The smell last less than a minute and dissipates and there is no smell so don’t be afraid to slather it on, it soooo good for your skin and your babies skin with no side effects!

I use this every day for cooking and spreading on meats. It has a slight flavor, and can't detect much scent at all, but the scent that's there smells clean and fresh. This stuff is delicious!

This is not what I was expecting. It is like softened butter- not hard- and smells awful. Smells like beef dog treats. I know what tallow is, but if purified correctly this should not smell this strong. Will not be buying again.

Great for making pemmican, frying, or other uses.

Good quality, it's enjoyable. Nice alternative to Olive oil. It last a long time too and I cook very often. Will buy again.

I used this for soap making and making face moisturizer. It did work in the soup but it did make it a bit softer then it should have been, and the moisturizer didn’t whip like it should have because it was wetter then i thought it was going to be…and has a slight beef smell so the face moisturizer doesn’t smell too great but it’s quality is great…does a great job at moisturizing :)
