My wife and me are loving this Italian-roasted coffee. I use it mostly for espressos and she for americanos and cappuccinos, but in all cases it works great. Beans look very fresh and they have a great aroma that I perceived as soon as I opened the amazon box it came in. Nice bag with all the information displayed. Very finely grinded and delicious smooth taste (low acidity), with some bitterness.

This is a nice coffee if you prefer a dark roast. It's bold, but is light on additional flavor. It has a slightly burnt taste, but is not bitter and was still good black. I didn't need to use a sweetener or flavoring, although a little vanilla was a nice addition.The grind is very fine. It's fine enough to use as espresso.The one thing I didn't like was the packaging. There was no way to re-seal the bag. It needed to be cut with scissors. If I want to keep it fresh, I'll need to transfer it to another container.

The coffee produced was full in flavor and tasted good. I’m not an aficionado, I just buy coffee and try them all until I find ones I like to keep buying. This is one I will buy again. This Gran Caffe Garibaldi medium roast ground coffee produces a very nice brewed coffee. It compares favorably with my favorite everyday brand of coffee, which is to say it's not high end fancy coffee, but it does taste great and gets the job done at a reasonable price. It's a little bit finer of a grind than I prefer, but it still does work in my French press and does not leave significantly more sediment in my cup than beans I grind myself with a larger grind...so yes, this works just fine in a French press, and probably works really well in any method that uses a paper filter. The coffee smelled fresh and delicious when I opened the bag, and the brewed coffee has no weird or unpleasant flavors. It is very tasty. Definitely recommended if you like a good, balanced cup of medium roast.

This made some surprisingly good coffee. It was smooth, low acid, and had some slightly sweet notes. I thought it was a reasonable value as well. The one thing I wish is that they offered it whole bean as I prefer to grind my own for both freshness and so I can adjust the grind to the method of brewing I wish to use. Overall this is worth trying.

I really like dark roasts. This does taste truly Italian as it has a bit more of a burnt or bitter taste that I usually find Italian blends have. It smells dark, it tastes dark, they have that right for sure. There just isn't a good flavor along with the darker undertones. It has a charred flavor. So for my personal preference it is not 5 stars. I am very sensitive to caffeine and it's one of the reasons I prefer dark roasts as there is less caffeine. I do notice that while the taste is strong, the caffeine does seem appropriate.However, the price is amazing, and it is harder to find a dark roast at that price. I'm going to try adding a little less coffee next time to see if the flavor is less intense.The bag was difficult to open and tore a little bit. You might want to use scissors.

So delicious! This dark roast ground is so strong and with a subtle smokiness, yet extremely smooth to drink and devoid of bitter aftertaste. Without a doubt a new addition on the top best coffee blends I've tried, and it's a ground coffee! It's especially outstanding when using a French press and Arabian coffee maker, but a drip machine simply doesn't do this justice in my opinion. However, since its still a ground coffee you may need a bit more to make an ideal pot of coffee. Unless you use a reusable k-cup, which is a gross exception. Since these are in such small bags, two bags is ideal to really make a difference. So as far as flavor strength and quality, this is more of a mediocre value. Still definitely recommended, this is too good.

I am no coffee snob so just look for the ones that I enjoy the flavor, with low acid and get a little caffeine in me. I make a cup of this in the evening before I go to work and it starts my night out great. There is no bitterness and I can taste the undertones of caramel. I find some medium roasts to be too heavy and dark but this has good flavor and sits well on an empty stomach. This would be a great coffee to serve with pastries or donuts. The bag is not resealable but that is the only issue.
