I pick up on no essence de celery. Candle needs a different flavor stamped on it.

I love candles - they can lightly scent a room, the lend a grace to almost any setting...miracle workers, they are. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about this one. This is, quite honestly, the first product from this company that I have not been a fan of AT ALL.The burning is fine - it burns nice and even. The candle itself seems to be as quality as the company's other items. However, the smell is...not what I was expecting. It honestly just smells like soap. And not a pleasant "just took a shower" soap smell, but a heavy-duty, in your fact, just strapped a bar of soap to your chin sort of smell. I tried to let the candle continue to burn to see if the smell got better, or if I got used to it - and the answer to both was a resounding no. I'm not sure what wild celery really smells like, but I do know vanilla...and I get none of that in this candle.So - while I will happily try again on another fragrance, and I have been a huge fan of their other products, I'm going to have to pass on this one.

Wow, this candle packs a LOT of fragrance! My house is rather large and this scent is throughout the entire house in less than an hour. That can be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for in a candle, I suppose. The fragrance is a bit heavy and 'perfumey' for my tastes so after having the candle lit up for maybe two hours that was more than enough for me. I was expecting more of a natural fragrance, something less manufactured smelling and less flowery; some reviewers have mentioned a bit of a woodsy scent that I can barely pick up on, I find it to be much more of a floral scent. If this candle is going to be lit again it will definitely be for a shorter time period. The packaging was really lovely and I think this could make a nice gift IF you know the recipient is into strong fragrances.

I came home from vacation to a musty house and was looking to brighten the atmosphere. This candle burns cleanly and has a delicious vanilla/ light green herbal scent (celery/tonka bean variety). It is very refreshing. It is not enough scent to fill my living room though. I moved this to a bathroom where the throw was enough to create a lovely fragrance. I really enjoy the scent and would definitely buy more products of this line. The celery/tonka mix is genius; it adds a sweetness to a woodsy scent and the overall effect is very refreshing.

I don't know what tonka bean is, nor do I wish to find out. This is an aggressively malodorous candle. I don't quite know how to describe it: it's earthy, pungent, and just plain bad.I cannot imagine what smells you would want to cover up with this scent.The box is gorgeous. The candle is simple and white in a clear glass holder. But the smell is all wrong for me.

I love these candles. They have a lovely scent when just sitting on the counter but obviously spread scent much better when burning. The scents are prominent but not overwhelming and not waxy smelling. They seem to burn as cleanly as candles are able and add a warm comfy feeling to the environment. I find them a treat to myself, but these candles would also make an lovely hostess gift.

This is a pretty candle, with a pretty box and the scent is strong but I just don't like the smell of it. I love candles and love most all scents but there's something in this one that kinda makes me feel sick. It's very flowery with another scent of something that just doesn't agree with me.i had to give it away and get it out of my house because i can't stand it that much. I'd order from this company again because of the quality of the candles but i'd find another scent. I love candles..yankee, slatkin etc and i do enjoy strong scents and i'm sure if i found a scent i liked in this brand, i'd be a lifelong customer.
