Felt like good quality but basket was missing so I returned.

Fits pretty well, albeit slightly tight on the ears during the turn into the machine. It doesn't rotate as far as the stock portafilters do, but that's a very minor gripe that does not affect the performance of the portafilter itself. Overall the fit and finish are also very close to my Bezzera portafilters at a fraction of the cost.

This is a surprisingly nice portafilter, certainly as a spare and perhaps as a primary one. It's stainless steel, rather than brass, which has some advantages (brass portafilters usually have almost no plating inside, and are soon bare brass which collects crud quickly). It's only very slightly magnetic, so it's probably 300 series (good). It probably weighs not much over half as much as nice Italian cast brass portafilter, so it won't provide as much thermal mass. As long as you leave it on the machine until ready to use it, it's probably fine. The basket seems good quality as well - the holes appear well formed and the fit is excellent. The basket is a large double or near-triple size - probably 20G or so. As noted, the finish is very good, and it fits my E61 group head perfectly - centers up the same as my "fancier" brass portafilters. I haven't had it long enough to determine how long it might last, and since the handle is lighter than my others it's conceivable that a really aggressive snug-down could break it. So Don't (if your group gasket isn't sealing well, replace it with a new Silicone one!!)

Although I like the handle this lighter weight portafilter features ears or tabs that are slightly smaller than the original manufacturers part. When connected to our Casadio the handle is positioned far past the point it should be which makes it difficult to operate a two group head. Never the less it will be a good back up portafilter. Note the basket is maybe 20g or larger so we swapped that out for 18g.

stainless steel not plated brass, so will not hold heat well but I purchased only to add pressure valve to check brew pressure on Rancilio Silvia, for that it works OK

Bought this for my Bréville Oracle after searching porter filters compatible with Breville. Suffice to say it’s Not compatible with my machine. I’ll be returning this.

Quick Mill E61 brew group perfectly. I love the slated, double spout design because it stands stable on the counter during puck prep. The aluminum handle gets warm, but even after hours in the brew head, it is not too hot to handle. The basket is rated for 22 gram and that seems about right for medium roast beans. The basket has a catch ring for the retainer spring clip, but after four or five cycles, it’s not hard to install or remove. The basket is magnetic, so it will hold a magnetic dosing funnel. The handle screw is an M10. The overall package is lighter than the Nuova Ricambi slanted double spout by about a quarter pound. So if you’re using NR, or La Marzocco portafilters, you’ll notice it. Overall, at this price point, the Norm Core is a very nice choice. It’s modestly priced and works great
