Bought for my son as his Chromebook charger from school was stolen & the school wants $35 to replace. Found this one which works perfect & the price was such a good deal.

Great chromebook charger, works well and doesn't get too hot.

I purchased two of these chargers for my and my wife's laptop, to replace chargers that have disappeared from a shared workspace. Both failed very quickly under normal usage by two mindful adults. They weren't abused, dropped, moved, wetted, put in direct sunlight, taken on international flights, plugged into the wrong voltage or even insulted. They just failed, about 6 and 8 months after delivery.Clearly, we either got some bad chargers and everyone else got good ones, or most of the chargers are bad ones and people just shrug it off because they are relatively cheap.Out of return window, of course, so not much we can do about it other than try to warn other people of these low-quality chargers. I tried contacting the company but that isn't practical either because they want to use AI to help me "fix it on my own". There is nothing to fix. They are a sealed, unservicable unit that is headed, deservingly, to the garbage.Do yourself a favor and see if you can buy a replacement charger from another supplier, maybe it won't be landfill as quickly.

Edit: Seller was responsive and sent me a replacement no questions asked. Sometimes hardware is faulty on a one-off basis, and that might have happened to me. Part of my frustration was with Amazon's strange warranty claim policy. That has nothing to do with this particular item. The seller gets 5 stars for service, but I am not certain about the actual product yet. You should check other reviews and use discretion before you make this purchase. Original review with spelling fixes is below:I've had this charger for about 5 months and it is already falling apart. I thought it would be covered by standard US consumer warranty. Apparently you can't make a warranty claim outside the return window on Amazon? What a nightmare.The shielding is peeling off and there are exposed wires. The charger doesn't work anymore unless you position it 'just right', and then it only works for a few minutes. Probably because it's so touchy.I didn't use it heavily but any means. This charger mostly sits in my bag because I have plugs at home and at the office. The chord comes with a velcro strip that I use that to tie it about as tight as you see in this image. It's much less tight than it is in the marketing images. I don't think a reasonable person would say I abused this charger.It's just bad. It's a waste of money and wastefully uses plastics and metals for a product that doesn't last 6 months. Don't buy this.

It’s not OEM but it’s definitely a good match for the chromebook we have Works great and charges fast no problems.

I have an Acer laptop and my regular charging port stopped working. I even bought another charger from Acer and it still would not charge. I finally took my laptop to BestBuy Geek Squad and they got the computer to power up and said I could get a USB- C laptop charger. BestBuy’s prices are way high. Found this one and love it!!!
