Every Man JackGrooming Paste, Fragrance Free, 2.65-ounce

I recently got my pixie cut back after growing my hair out due to COVID, and this is the first type of clay styling product that I have bought for a pixie haircut. My opinion is not weighted in much experience with any other hair styling products besides gel, hairspray, and mousse. This product is ok. I have very thick hair and it overall keeps my hair in place. My issue is that I have to use a lot to get better hold, and I'm not sure if that's becaue the product is just meh, or due to having the amount of hair of 2 people. I use this product on damp hair and once dry it will feel hard like hair with a lot of gel on it, or a lot of mousse used on wet hair. It didn't do too good of a job on my front most bangs, it didn't really hold one part of those in place. They kind of ended up going where they wanted to go in the end, just more spikey. It would probably work better with hairspray, but i like to use as little product in my hair as possible. I don't like my hair feeling hard and crispy from styling products. Unfortunately since I have to use a lot that's exactly what happens to my hair. Overall, i would say it does a good job rather than using nothing since i wake up with horrible bed head where my hair is sticking up all over the place and this will stamp all that down when I dampen my hair. It's ok to try out, but I think I will be moving onto another product when I'm finished with this one. Removing a star since I didn't fall in love with it, at least it's cheap.

You have to twist it counterclockwise to open it just like a jar (the instructions are on the back). It's got a bit of sharpness when you open it so just be gentle with it but you will get used to it. A lot of the Everyman Jack products I have from them have poor container designs. Overall the product inside is what counts, it's really good for shorter hair, easy to apply, and is not hard as a rock like other putty's I have tried. It's easy to apply and you can re-style your hair throughout the day by hand, highly recommended!

I've never used clay to style my hair, never needed to until I went with a new hairstyle. My hair is on the thinner side so I needed something that wouldn't make my hair shine and would bring some ''volume'' to my hair.This product does its job and does it well. I don't get some of the complaints about opening/closing the lid, its pretty straightforward and requires a tiny bit of common sense. You only need a very small amount of product and it will cover all of your hair. It has NO scent and lasts through out the entire day.5/5

I have purchased a ton of clay to find the right one for me. I liked this one because of the price point. Overall it works well, smells good and has a decent hold. I would definitely look at purchasing again if I do not find another that works better for a similar price. The hold is not all day which is why a 4 instead of 5.

This is a great hair product for men and boys. The ingredients are clean and there is no strong scents. You get a lot of product for your money and only need a little each use.

I have a longer pixie bob and my husband has a short fade. We both have very straight fine hair. This product gives my hair texture and natural hold. My hair looks so much better and actually has a style to it. My husband really likes it too - it gives his hair a more groomed look. It has not caused any breakouts or irritation on my super sensitive skin and scalp - and it has no fragrance. It is so hard to find hair products that are fragrance free and work well - So finding Every Man Jack Styling Clay, Fragrance was really nice. The only thing we dislike is the packaging - it's tricky to open and that's annoying when you are trying to get out the door - I ended up putting in another container.

Not sure if I got a bad batch but it was really dry and tacky. Impossible to work with. Came shifted to one side like it melted? But it was still really unworkable.

I was looking for a vegan hair paste and decided to give this a try. I really like it. It has good hold and a nice matte finish. Not greasy or sticky or anything. Gives my hair volume and texture and that perfect unwashed feel. Has no scent which is nice sometimes. I would reccomend it! Every Man Jack makes good products.

Pros:- Unscented- Paste consistency. Some people have given this a negative review, due to receiving a paste, instead of a clay product, but the product description and the container has "Paste" written on it.-Natural shine appears to be correct. Some have called it matte, however I do see a very slight shine to it, which is what I wanted.Hold - Medium, as advertised. I see others users have complained that it is not Firm hold, but it is advertised as Medium hold.As far as the paste product itself, I find the description to be 100% accurate, and I am satisfied with it.As far as the container goes, I admit I had an issue with it, until I realized that it works best if it is unscrewed to open, but NOT screwed to close. To close, I line up the top with the bottom and give it a slight squeeze, and it clicks shut.

I wanted something a little more cost effective than the AG Stucco that I am accustomed to using. It does work, hold is good, but IMO it is stickier, and heavier. So it does not come off as dry looking, if you apply too much product.I like high and dry (matte) body in my clay product. If you want a little slicker and heavier pulled over hair, then this would probably be fine for you. I will spend the extra and stick with the AG product.

I am incredibly grateful for this product line. I have searched for so long for high-hold styling products that are fragrance-free for myself and my family. I suffer from migraines and chemical scent/perfume is an immediate trigger. Now my kids and I can style our hair the way we want, without worry of making me sick. Thank you EMJ! I use both the fibre paste and clay.Tip: several people have complained about the packaging and how it is hard to open and close. I too find this, so I simply leave the lid loose (with the clear plastic inside cover in place, so the product doesn't dry out), The only time I tightly secure the lid is if I am taking the product with me somewhere.

Great 'Aveda-Like' styling clay product. Not as 'glue-like' and 'gritty' feeling as Aveda and that's a good thing. Great texture, hold and best of all, no smell. Definitely recommended as a value-for-money alternative to more expensive and tbh lesser value brands. A well packaged, 'premium' brand product at a great price with no unpronounceable chemicals.My new go to product, step aside Aveda.
