La Princesa and the Pea Hardcover – Picture Book, September 5, 2017

This story is absolutely adorable. The book quality is fantastic and illustrations are so beautiful and unique. Love the combo of Spanish and English, as my daughter is learning both as my husband is fluent in Spanish. He says he loves this book as it’s a great “spanglish” book so so fun to read.

Bought this book for my niece. She loved it. It’s nice it’s in Spanish.

One of the best renditions of the Princess and the pea that I have found. It has a fun twist at the end. I also love that the illustrations are based of real people in different areas of Peru.

This is such a lovely book! I will be gifting this book to A LOT!I am an ESL teacher and this is a great book for new English readers, the few Spanish words help them to have better comprehension as a new learner. But I also love this book for American children, it allows them to see fairy tales they know in the context of other cultures. They can see that they have more in common with others than they do differences. And it has a few Spanish words that they can easily learn and use daily, a great way to introduce a new language to them in a fun way.

I bought this book to give my students an alternative perspective of the classic fairy tale, and it worked beautifully. This story is also great because it is sourced from authentic experiences of the illustrator interacting with the remote Peruvian tribes that they illustrate

Love all of Susan Middleton Elya's books. So great for introducing Spanish words to young readers.

Love this book! It’s a beautiful book that rhymes nicely which my little one loves. The mix of English and Spanish words is also fabulous for our little Latina and Irish baby gal

I bought this to add to my daughter's book collection. I want her to recognise her many heritages. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. :)
