Good Value
Hard to beat the value of these shorts. Material quality is great for the price; a few loose threads here & there. Long inseam is a plus (I’m 6’ 4” and these go just above my knee). My favorite thing about these are the deep pockets. I’ve got a pair of Adidias and they’re of a better build quality, but I’m always checking to make sure nothing fell out of my pockets. With these I can fit my wallet, car keys and iPhone plus in a single pocket for a hike.

How is a 6X too small????
I ordered a 6x, because everyone said they run small. They were NOT KIDDING. First of all, I wouldn't classify these as the BIG part of Big and Tall. They are clearly just for the TALL. They are SUUUUUPER long, and when I put them on, they fit me like a pair of pants would..... not some regular baggy/loose basketball shorts. (Waist is fine, but the leg parts are NOT wide at all.) They were like weird dude-capris.Pay attention to these reviews.... I figured it was only 13 bucks, so I'll try it.... but it was a waste. If you're big, skip these.... if you're just tall, give'm a try... I guess. Too bad, cuz they're actually cool looking shorts.

Longer than expected, nice fit.
Other than being shipped to my neighbor which is not their fault..They are hair longer than I expected them to be, but it is nice to have in this age of short shorts and skinny jeans.Fit great, ordered a large size 34 waist.

SHOCK AND AWE
Finally a big/tall product very reasonably priced. Actually cheap compared to others. Shorts are long so buying the tall version is a waste on anybody under 6'5. I mean upper calf size long not just below the knee. They are true to size. Relaxed fitting waist with tons of drawstring. The elastic in the waist isn't overly tight so it doesn't pinch my stomach. So, after eating a big meal you won't have to roll the waistband under your stomach. Just saying. Ha. Very roomy in the seat too and baggy comfortable. And at this price to have pockets is unheard of. It is a good quality pair of shorts. Highly recommend.

B aware!!!
Bought these shorts for my husband an ordered a 6x. On the tag on the shorts it says a 6x, but inside the shorts it says a 5x. So they are bit smaller than what we wanted but he was more concerned about the quality. The stitching in the hem of the shorts was messy an thrown together.

That's a no for me dawg
Figured I'd pull the trigger on some cheap athletic shorts since so many brands seem to think a basic garment like this should cost $30+ and, yeah I guess you get what you pay for. For starters the fit is just way off, like way smaller than advertised. This isn't a huge problem because they're athletic shorts so they're pretty forgiving, but still. Not a great first impression and far from the only problem. The second thing, and the weirdest, is that these shorts are simultaneously too long and too short. The legs are way longer than I would've expected, they hang well below my knee almost to mid-calf. Maybe this is how you like your shorts, but these things are stretching the definition of shorts to a ridiculous degree. They're basically stovepipe 3/4 length pants made from the same material as actual athletic shorts. So that's too long, but how are they also too short? Well with the shorts pulled up to your normal/mid waist, just at or bellow the navel, the gusset (ahem ... crotch) is pulled up so high into my gooch it feels like someone's trying to lasso my flesh fun patch. Seriously, who tf thought this design was a good idea! It's so uncomfortable that the only way to wear these and have them feel like a normal pair of athletic shorts, as far as the gooch is concerned, is to wear them way down low on/below the hips. This is not how athletic shorts work, they'll just slide off, and anyway because the legs are so ridiculously long they'll be regular pants at this point. It's almost like whoever designed these shorts had only a passing familiarity with human physiology.Oh that's not the end ...The pockets. How can you screw up pockets? Make them the size of a standard US shot glass, that's how. I literally can't put my phone in these pockets. I can just barely fit a wallet in there, but nothing bigger. How? How are these this bad?And lastly the material itself. It seems high quality, it's certainly a heavy fabric. Too heavy. Way too heavy! These are meant to be worn while being active and yet these things are so heavy they forever trap heat and sweat in their abyssal folds for the life-age of the universe. And what's weirder? There seem to be inner and outer layers of fabric, almost like swim trunks, which don't lie naturally on the thighs so that you have to pull the bottom hem of the short legs to get them to fall out correctly. Unbelievable.Look I get that humans come in different shapes and sizes and I'd never fault a company for running a little large or a little small, but I do expect clothing I purchase to come in a roughly human shape. These shorts are so poorly designed and so strangely cut that I'm not sure they fit the legal definition of clothing. Textile? Yes. Shorts for humans? No. By all means trust the glowing reviews of satisfied customers singing the praises of these shorts, but also consider that you might just be better off throwing your money into the toilet. Because that's what these shorts remind me of ... something you'd find in a toilet.

Quality has gone way down.
I've bought SouthPole gym shorts over the years and I have been really impressed. I even have one of the two first pairs I bought nearly 20 years ago. These? Out of the box these looked great, but 4 of the 5 I bought are unwearable since the drawstrings are too short. On the 5th pair, they are just long enough to tie so great! I can wear those...except the pockets? I couldn't fit a key in one, let alone a keychain. The other 4, the pockets were almost as bad, making them nigh pointless to have even stitched in. I'm rather disappointed and sad since, this brand really has been my go-to for comfortable gym wear for 2 decades.

DON'T BE FOOLED! THESE ARE NOT TRUE SOUTHPOLE!!
Ok, so for the monies worth, these shorts are decent as I am a 6'4" man, got the XL so they fit great & I sweat very easily so these shorts seem like they will work. HOWEVER don't be fooled....I know true Southpole clothing & these are NOT! Which I was extremely unhappy about. Even the Southpole logo they show in their shorts size table is completely different than what u actually get. The inside tag says Made By Egyptian & then some numbers. So all in all these are knockoffs, NOT true Southpole shorts as I was falsely shown they would be. So all these ppl complaining about the threads falling apart so easily, well this explains why. Had I known, I would of bought Champion shorts instead as those at least would be real. Luckily these shorts were cheap enough & are decent fit or else I'd return them if it wasn't such a hassle to return them

Very Long / Generic Amazon Sizing Chart Inaccurate This Time
I read the reviews and decided to order Small size to be safe as people were saying they were long. I am 5’11” and have a 32” waist and the small fits my waist fine (the waist is very stretchy, could probably fit a 34” even) and the length goes just past my knee caps. I bought them for working out and I wear compression leggings underneath, so the length isn’t super important to me, but if you don’t like long shorts, order smaller than where you fit on the generic Amazon size chart. They have large pockets and are dual lined. Good for the price.

Coin flip if defective or not
Every time I purchase these it's a coin flip on if I have to return them or not.I've purchased six different pairs of these shorts, and I've only kept two of them. The two that I kept are perfect! Deep pockets, draw string actually exists, length is the same on both sides. For reference I'm 5'11, and these shorts go right below my knee, which is what I want. The ones that I sent back though?1. Two of them had no draw strings, which meant they kept slipping off, as I bought a size bigger cause I like having more room around my legs.2. One of them had two different leg sizes. Left size was normal, right side was THREE INCHES higher.3. One of them was TWO SIZES smaller than the printed size.

Good Value
I'm 6'2 with a 30" waist. The medium shorts are roomy, but the waist band tightens up enough, and the waistband strings are very long. The small fits me better. The medium shorts are long, extending down to the bottom of my kneecaps. The small shorts reach the top of my kneecaps Fabric is light weight, breathable, and stretchy.Stitching was not good on my first pair. It was coming out at the waist, and in one of the pockets. Exchanged for another pair, which I have not had issues with. I don't expect they'd be super durable in everyday use due to the light fabric, which is fine in this price range.Pockets are shallow and unzippered, and can't be trusted with a cell phone.

Defective second time purchase!
I bought a pair a while back and couldn’t be more happier with my purchase. Then decided to purchase another pair last week and this time found my self disappointed with it. Right side pocket was nearly sown shut I can stick the very tips of my fingures in that’s about it can’t put anything in it though. The left pocket is very deep and useable though . Defiantly got a defective pair this time which is Pretty unfortunate. Not happy

Terrible Quality
These shorts are terrible quality, even at a low price. Not only are the pockets designed poorly, such that it's a struggle to get your hands in them, but one of the pockets is already coming apart without even being used. Also, threads are coming out, and it's as if the shorts are falling apart--and this is after only one or two wears.Even cheap shorts don't fall apart like this. These seem to be exceptionally poor quality.
