As always I bought my Lloyd directly from Gamble and Gunn. It took just 2 days to arrive, safe and protected inside a cardboard box.I have over 60 caps, and have bought many others as gifts. Almost £95 for a cap??? Well, it's twice the price of any other cap in the collection, within a few £s either way so.. But it's in a class of its own, superior in so many ways to the rest of my collection that detailed comparison is futile. The cloth is astonishing, the cut of the cloth is surgical, each stitch shows the skill and conscientious mindset of whoever put the cap together.If you really want to treat yourself or a loved one to something that is as good as you can imagine, get the head measurement right , (each Gamble and Gunn cap I have bought is exactly the stated size), and give that loved one or yourself the sheer joy of owning a beautiful example of artisanal skill, the most beautiful cap I have seen by some margin.(By the way: When you put it on, if the weather is what we have in Southern England today, 29/06/2019, do not keep it on for more than a few seconds. It is very light, but the cloth is so perfect a mix of merino wool, angora and cashmere that you will feel very warm indeed, very quickly. It will be a great cap for cold weather!)
