Same as Abreva, but more affordable
I've known TARO brand because of other prescription medication that I got. Their generic products are great, and this one did not disappoint. It works same as Abreva and half the price.

Found this "generic" version of Abreva while perusing Amazon for cold sore relief. I was impressed that it was 2 tubes for the price i was expecting to pay for 1 tube. When I ordered I was not sure how good the product would be. No worries, the product performed as well as Abreva for my cold sore. I paid extra for overnight delivery and was not disappointed by the delivery or the product. Highly recommend, cost saver, and effective plus I have another tube at the ready for when the need arises again. Thanks Amazon

Docosanol works great at eliminating blisters.
I’ve used Abreve blister medication for years. It reduces the redness and itch in a couple of days. No other medication works as well. Abreve’s main ingredient is Docosanol. Unfortunately Abreve has gotten very expensive. This generic version, 100% Docosanol, is less expensive than Abreve. I hope it works as well.

Buy it and keep it on hand
I bought it when I realized I was running out of a brand name product with the same active ingredient. I'm happy I did: the first product only lasted for about 3 days. By the end of the third day, I continued to apply this around every two hours, 5 times a day. I made a little "cold sore" kit I kept with me: cotton swabs, this cream, and petroleum jelly to put on top. It was incredibly effective: by the 5th day I had a barely noticeable scab and after a week it was completely gone without having a big scab or anything like that. For two tubes that are the same size as what you can get at the store, this is unbeatable value for the money. Amazon has become my new OTC drugstore, tbh.

Comparable to name brand
I have been using this for a long time I find the quality and size comparable to abreva. The price of this is much better! Works great!
