Wasn't Effective at All!
Used this in Peru - I was bitten all over from my feet to my face on the 1st night... had to move to extra strong Deet. Wouldn't Recommend.

Smells strong enough to keep the critters at bay
Nothing biting at the moment so can't tell how effective this is but as it is citrus oils it should fend off some of the pesky critters. Whether it works on Scottish midges is yet to be seen. It smells of strong smelling citronella and you can smell it before opening. I think I shall put the box in another resealable bag to preserve the smell even more. Each capsule lasts up to 432 hours so you can take it off and reseal into the bag when safely indoors or on days when the risk of getting eaten is low. They recommend using in conjunction with some of their other products so I have a spray to take too so can spray the opposite end of the body to where this is worn.I got the large which fits on my ankle - the elastic stretches just enough to carefully go over my foot. With the strength of the smell I think I would prefer to wear it on my ankle and put some spray on my wrists (or wear long sleeves!) I think its a little expensive - the refills are currently showing at £5 for the 2 so you are currently basically paying £15 for the wooden bracelet which I dont think looks particularly attractive but if it works then hey ho i'll give it a go

Better as an ankle bracelet
This is in interesting concept, though a bit too chunky for a wrist bracelet. My wife tried it on her ankle and it just about fitted over her foot, though the elastic was stretched around her ankle. It smells OK; being the middle of January in the UK not sure yet how the mozzies will appreciate it but will give it a go in the summer. Overall this feels like something you would pay a couple of quid for off a foreign market stall - not worth the £20 asking price.

Comfortable
My wife usually gets bitten very badly by mosquitoes, so got her this bracelet. She found it very comfortable, forgot she had it on, got bitten once, which is a big difference as usually shes eaten alive. So the bracelet definitely works and looks like an ordinary wooden beaded bracelet.Would definitely recommend.

Brittle Bracelet
Unfortunately the bracelet broke after only a handful of uses . The part that contained the pod split. At £18 I'd expected it to last a lot longer. Not worth the cost.
