IKEA Kallax 8 shleves Bookcase Room Divider Cube 802.Display , White

The shelves are okay for what they are. They are not very sturdy. If there are small children around you would definitely want to attach the unit to the wall

Super cute! It did come with the box ripped and falling apart, so it was hard to haul up my apartment buildings stairs. It came damaged on the corners of a couple of shelves, but I taped it together and declared that the back/bottom where I put inserts so u can’t see it. No big deal but that’s why I left 4 star instead of 5!

I have Billy bookcase, ps cabinet , tv stand and 2door glass cabinet. I bought them almost 4years ago and still look new.I guess it depends on how you take care of them.Price is very high at Amazon ( I think this bookcase is around 60$ ) but I think that's because od shipping cost. I wanted to buy ikea website but they don't sell it online. And they charge big money. Well, I live in Las Vegas and we don't have one. I have to make a trip to LA so I just bought at Amazon. I am a prime member so I got this item in 2days by ups.Some corners were chipped but I didn't expect that it should be perfect since I am buying ikea furniture.But it is hard to see so I decided to keep. It didn't take long to put them together.I have white ikea furniture so it matches perfect.Nice and clean. That's why I like ikea stuff.

The first one we ordered arrived destroyed. Every corner was smashed and there were 2 big holes in the sides. UPS is partially to blame but the packaging was terrible. For an item that is 80lbs there were 3 parchment papers inbetween the pieces and a 3' x 1" styrofoam piece. That was all that was there to keep these items safe. I didnt have a problem with the RMA, it just sucked having to bring a huge 80lb box to the UPS store myself.Second shelf arrived with busted corners as well. We dont have an Ikea close by and this is the shelf we wanted for the kid's play room so we are just going to admit defeat and keep it, it's not worth anymore of our time. Shelf is great, I just dont see how they can be saving money by shoddy packaging, surely we aren't the only ones that have received destroyed pieces that are sent right back to them.

I was very glad to see this was a genuine Ikea item and not a copy-cat.Only bummer is that one of the edges was slightly damaged in shipping. But it worked out OK.

This product was advertised as IKEA but was in fact from Better Homes and Garden. It is a nice piece of furniture, but does not match my other book cases that are IKEA brand. It is a much brighter white.

I highly recommend the Ikea organizer over any other brand. Its very easy to put together. One person can do it in less than an hour. Well constructed, sturdy. I have 2 in black then changed my furnishings so ordered one in white for my living room. The 2 black ones are in my office and work really well for organizing my files, printer paper and printer, etc. I did personalize them to match my decor by using a fabric I like and stapling across the back. This worked out really well to hid the wires from electronics.

So - I guess this piece of furniture is OK for what it is....but it's not an Ikea Kallax....I received some knock off brand distributed by Walmart. I guess next time I will make the trip to Ikea to make sure that's what I get.....
