I needed to fix a couple of loose bricks on my garden wall and fill a few gaps in the outdoor patio pointing, and this 5kg tub was the absolute perfect size. The beauty of this product is that it's completely pre-mixed; you don't have to worry about buying separate bags of sand and cement or getting the ratios right. You literally just scoop out what you need, mix it with a bit of water in a bucket, and it’s ready to apply. It has a great, workable consistency that grabs well to old masonry, dries to a traditional grey finish, and sets incredibly solid. Ideal for anyone who wants a professional result without the hassle of a massive mixing job.

Easy to use if anything was challenging, it was the mixing part when doing it manually, But applying it to the brick was simple. First, I measured the amount of mortar I needed in a bucket, added water, stirred it till it was like paste, then sprayed the wall with some water and used a trowel and a finger pointer to push the mortar into the joints of the bricks and tried to smooth it as best as I could. It's been about a month since I pointed the bricks; the mortar is waterproof and I've seen a difference in temperature in addition to no longer feeling the breeze come in to the kitchen when it's windy. I would recommend to anyone fixing up or reparing, pro or not & it works for deep filling as well as light

Rigid plastic container did not survive the delivery process, cracked and was spilling cement out into the box. Not packed well enough. But will keep it as I can't be bothered with return on this item. Have not actually used it yet. Probably a good product going by the other reviews. Looks to be a fair colour match to my house.

Easy to use, just add water. I used this to fill some smallish holes in external brickwork to keep out rodents. I could have bought a bag of sand and cement but this was more conveneient for a small job. 5kg sounds a lot, but it was just enough for a small patching jobs under an outside door (less than 2 inches high x 4 inches deep). If I was doing a large job I would mix my own so the main benefit is convenience. It dries slow enough to fill and skim but was solid after a few hours later.

Easy to mix, leaves a good finish. Handy size for doing small jobs around the place. Keeps well after opening, doesn't have to be used up in one go but mix it dry in the tub beforehand and then take out how much you'll need into another container and add water and off you go.
