The media could not be loaded.  LOVE this thing: The Zoom H1n is 1. Great for sound boards, 2. Not a great lav mic, & 3. Has a touchy on-board microphone1. Great for Sound BoardsIt's tiny, and it's FAST to setup. I'm a wedding videographer, and don't have time to spend forever on audio, so I use this to plug straight into the soundboard and leave. Takes like 5 seconds. I am using a 1/4" to 1/8mm cable, and I plug into the dj's headphones port -- I put this on auto-leveling and it works like a dream.It records a little hot, so keep in mind that you might have slight peaking if your speaker begins talking really loud after it was silent for several seconds... But all to say, really solid, and handles dynamic range of voice really well. All audio from the pastor and the passage-reader in the above video was taken with it.2. Not a recommended lav microphoneAwful form factor. Sure, it's small, but it's awkward because it's long and sticks out of most pockets. Uncomfortable when strapped to a belt. Furthermore, the microphone that comes in this pack is crappy.LAV RECORDER RECOMMENDATION: A recorder that is lower profile, higher quality, AND CHEAPER is the Tascam DR-10L. I am also using it in the video above, so that is where the bride's audio is from.3. On-Board Microphone is horrific:The on-board microphone picks up your hands touching it, or even your blood pumping in your fingers. Super sensitive. However, the little tripod attachment in this pack helps with that. However, if you're outside, there is no wind protection, and the mic-guards resist cotton-ball treatments. I recommend something else.OVERALLThis thing is GREAT at 2 things -- 1. Being tiny, 2. Taking a solid, high-quality feedOther than that, I recommend other, more specialized products.

So much better than Zoom h1.I bought it to use it with my dslr camera and works great! the quality of the sounds is really good. Also i use it with a little mic and is just perfect.

You can’t really measure or see signal strength while mic is facing you. Someone else has to do that for you. Could have had some LED’s below mic so you could see or something. Lavellier wind/pop screen lost first time use, as cheap and no ring/clip to hold in place. It does record, but mic has to be almost directly up to your mouth to get good sound quality. Then you need popping/wind screen. You almost need to be in studio fir good quality. I am sure there are better, but does work.

I used this to record audio during interviews as a reporter to go back and listen to later, and to use for videos. It has a great sound quality.

Super simple to use. Right out of the box I was able to do a recording. Very nice quality! I won't have to worry about audio quality on my videos any more. I am more than impressed and wish I had purchased this years ago!

Did not like that there was no micro U S B cable offered with the (bundle) that needed to be a separate purchase. The H1n is not like the H1 recorder H1n does not power on with the USB cable connected to a computer, the H1 did. understanding how to set it up and upgrading the firmware done all on battery power. Who knew to purchase an extra power supply for the H1n. The H1 did not need an extra power supply to power itself is why the lower overall rating. If I had to order again I would purchase another H1. One double A battery for H1, two AAA for H1n.

I was skeptical because it’s so light weight so it feels cheap ..... but the sound quality was perfect! I just needed a backup plan recorder, having just attending a conference and the media jack was broke - my sound for the client was awful!!!! So I got this as my “just in case” - didn’t want to spend a lot but get good quality if needed. The following weekend it came in handy and when I check the quality later - it was perfect! Delivery was as expected for a Prime - no issues. Completely satisfied.
