Stylish looking chrome door lock, well made, easy to fit and smooth operation.

I like the closed design of this bolt. It makes it look smother and tidier than most bolts. One minor fault, in my opinion, is that the accompanying screws are not of the highest standard. None of my Philips screw drivers fitted snugly, so I resorted to using my own screws.

Bolt is hefty and handsome. Included screws are complete garbage, and strip easily, even if using a quality tool. I needed to visit my local hardware shop to purchase replacement screws…

I wanted a basic bathroom door catch, this had 4 star review score, but I didn’t check the individual reviews (big mistake), , one was 5 star (great) and the other 1 star (do not buy). How Amazon get these 2 reviews to = 4 star is nonsense. My experience - I’ve tried to show this in the photo, the piece you attach to the door frame, for the bolt to enter is offset to the bolt mechanism by about 3mm. This means it isn’t possible to fit the catch flush to the door, and that means the door won’t close properly. Making this “lock” as effective as a chocolate teapot because it’s impossible to fit. Please note, I don’t mean poor fit, I genuinely mean cannot be fitted. I will get my metal file out and take 3mm off the plate that fits to the frame. I’ll then buy some screws because the ones that came with it seem to be made of reconstituted tin foil, and strip the second they see a screwdriver. I honestly dont know how rubbish like this gets sold.
