PHENOMENAL
Great affordable replacement for anyone who has/had an “instax polaroid camera”. Literally adorable, 3 different photo settings, photos print/develop soooo quickly (also double as stickers!) the film is infinitely cheaper than instax I HAD INSTAX FOR YEARS AND ITS A TOTAL MONEY MAKING CASH GRAB.This is quality and affordability.

I gifted this to my sister for Christmas and she loved it. She has taken so many pictures with it.

So close, but a fail
It tries to print every photo taken regardless of whether or not there’s paper. This makes it impossible to use! Snap a photo, wait 20 seconds… or if you snap a bunch in a row, it gets confused. Also, why can’t you select to print or not? You will waste SO many photo papers just trying to get a good photo! Perhaps that’s what the company wants — to sell more photo paper. Also, why in the world can’t you print AND save digitally?! You have to choose to either print (have paper in it) OR save it on the memory card, not both. Amazingly bad design!

Swing and a miss, but I'm still keeping it
I really wanted to love this camera, since the bluetooth printer + instant camera was just too good to pass up. Once I received it, I had no issues connecting the bluetooth like another user mentioned here in the reviews. Also didn't have an issue with the lenses not clicking into place as mentioned by another.I'm comparing this to the instant mini 12, as I ordered both at the same time to compare before choosing one. When I first opened the package, I was shocked at how very light this camera is. It feels significantly lighter than any instax camera I've seen and the plastic body makes it feel extremely flimsy and cheap. If Kodak wants this to be a toy, that's fine....but this is a high price point for that. The lens is exposed, so one drop or awkward placement might scratch the thing and then you're out of luck. The instax absolutely wins here, since the lens is protected when the camera is off.To turn on the camera, you need to press and hold the power button on top and the light will flash and then stay solid, along with a little musical tone to let you know you're ready to go. The camera button itself is huge and very easy to press, but you need to hold it for a moment and wait for the shutter click sound before releasing. I wish you could just press it and the camera would take the photo instantly, but it's something you can and will get used to. The camera will then begin whirring and your photo will start to come out. Unlike the instax photos, these are ready immediately and there is no waiting for a photo to develop after it pops out.The colors are ok. It reminds me of the images I would print on my color printer from the mid '90s, with the highlights either overblown or colors just off by a bit of yellow or blue. The instax photos are reminiscent of polaroid photos, which are not fully accurate anyway, but I do find them to be more "charming" and nostalgic.I love the feeling of the instax camera in my hand, from turning it on, to snapping a photo, while the Kodak smile+ just annoys me with the cheap build quality. For a camera that's MORE expensive than the competition, shouldn't it feel more polished?! The Kodak Smile+ is also missing a photo counter on the back, so you have no idea how many photos you might have left in your "roll", which I truly appreciate on the instax. So with all my complaints, why AM I keeping it? I love that the photos are also saved on an sd card, as anything can happen to the print and I am getting this for my 8 year old to foster her interest in photography before allowing her to use my $$$ cameras. I also appreciate the digital printing aspect from the phone. Since this is a gift for an 8 year old girl, she's going to love having stickers from some of our favorite photos to plaster all over her stuff, as one does when you're 8. The cheaper zink paper (by my estimation, a savings of .16 per print) does help, and I want to be able to buy her more "film" without cringing too much.I'm annoyed with Kodak for the price point on this with all the obvious cut-corners (to review: cheap, light plastic body; no photo counter; no lens cover; an insulting number of prints to start (5); and they didn't even throw in a wrist strap!), but had this been $40 cheaper or more, it would have been an easier pill to swallow.I will update the review if anything changes, but I hope this can help anyone else out there trying to figure out if this obscure Kodak newbie on the market is worth a try or not!

Disappointed
I'm honestly so disappointed in this little camera. First, I thought with the app, you would be able to view photos taken with the camera on your phone. You can only send photos taken with your phone/tablet to print. We played with the camera a bit and it was just okay. I bought it for my child for spring break and were hoping it would fare better with photos taken outside. However, the first photo she tried to take at the zoo after installing new photo paper resulted in a flashing light - error. Our only option was to reset the camera, which required a pin/paper clip/etc, which we didn't have access to. We couldn't even turn it off, so we had to put it away to die. Then we got home and tried to print and realized the color is terrible. I've included a print and the original photo for comparison. I feel like I wasted a lot of money between the camera, paper, case, and photo album. All my kid wanted was to take her own photos of vacation and it's basically a paperweight.
