Excellent history of the city of Lafayette along with great pictures! I bought a second book on the history of Pittsburg equally as good!

Very good book

Great photographs and enough narrative to provide a very real and moving history of a once small town in California. It is astonishing to look at the area today and compare to the hard working settlers and idyllic late 19 - early 20th century life there.There is a photo of my great grandmother and great grandfather as well as their house, which makes the book all that much more touching for me. Thanks to the authors for this wonderful little book.
