Way better than the MT50 for setup
I fail to understand why all the negative reviews. I had mine out of the box, installed, and connected in 5 minutes. Go to Google play and download the Epever controller app that matches your system. Plug the cable into the port on the charge controller. Use the correct port because the temperature probe port is right next to the one you need. Plug the other end into the blue box. If your system is on, you will get a green light on the box. Turn on your bluetooth, don't search for the device. Start the app. It asks if you are using wifi or ble. The device will show all visible bluetooth devices within reach. It will connect when you select the correct device. You should get a second greenlight on the blue box. The one thing I don't like is it claims real time monitoring. The screen will stay the same until you manually refresh. Programming is a bit difficult d/t possible conflicts, much easier than using the mt50.

Works ok, still not happy with software.
I have the WIFI version of this and thought I'd try the Bluetooth version. It uses the same software as the WIFI version. Believe me when I say the IOS version of the software is beyond hard to find. I searched and searched before I discovered it was already on my phone. Epever needs to make it a little easier to find. The software on my phone could not be found on the IOS app store. To use the software just plug in the BLE unit. One light will be green. Open the software on your phone and click on Bluetooth. The software will automatically connect to the BLE unit. The second light on the BLE will turn green when connected. Find the section of the software you need to use and click READ. That will give you the current parameters on your controller. Change what you need to change and click send. That will write the new parameters to the controller. To check your parameters, restart the app, connect, go to the section of the app that you need to go to and click read. Check your parameters and move on. I noticed that if you click read in one section of the app then click read in another section of the app, the app will close. Ne careful if using multiple controllers with different parameters that you click read before dong anything else. You could mess up your parameters that you saved earlier. Make very sure to disconnect the BLE when finished. It is NOT a secure unit even though you need the software and knowledge that the BLE is in use to access it.Another item is each parameter of the app should have some kind of explanation. What is it and what does it do?I'm running a dual voltage solar system, two EPEVER 60 amp controllers on a 48 volt system with 8x6v batteries and a 12 volt system with 2x6v batteries. Epever controllers seem to be the best I've used so far. I can't complain about the controllers at all. I would recommend them to anyone doing their own solar installation. But be aware that both the app and the pc software are a pain to use.

Here's the 411 on making this function
This device and it's related App work just fine after understanding that the permissions for the App have to be set to allow the Bluetooth device and the App to function together. This Bluetooth device does not get connected in the normal pairing fashion. Instead, just turn on your phones Bluetooth, see that the device is found....don't try and pair it, just go to the Epever App and connect to the devices Bluetooth connection. Works well, just a little hard to understand the sequence at first, but after the first time connecting, it connects easy Everytime afterwards!

50% failure rate; app needs some work
Update (8/21/21): When running two (2) eBox-BLE-01 units, the operation is a way more flakey. Sometimes you have to disconnect (Stop BLE), then search again. When you click on the device, the app will say "Connect BLE", followed by "Device Connected"; sometimes the device connects quickly, other times after a few seconds. Sometimes the "Device Connected" does not appear until after you leave the BLE screen. The app crashes about 50% of the time when switching between the eBox devices. The last time the app was updated was a year ago. Reducing to 2-stars overall.Ordered this one a few months back (5/5/21), and it works great. Ordered a second one (7/25/21), and could not get it to work. Tried a known working cable (from the first unit). Tried a different MPPT controller (actually three total). Tried another iPhone. Could not get it to work. 50% failure rate, based on two bought, and only one works. Returned.Pros: remote connectivity/monitoring.Cons: the app needs some work; kind of a pain to use, as you need to constantly reconnect. At $30, rating this 3-stars (50% failure, app issues).

Love this device.
This makes monitoring and programming my solar charge controller a breeze. It's pretty much plug and play, just download the App. Also, you do not need to "pair" the device within your cell iOS device's bluetooth settings. Just turn on bluetooth and then run the App. The App will find the device.I've not used the MT50, but I like the interface on the app better. Plus you can install this in a hidden compartment with double sided tape. No need to cut & mount.

Works well but needs improvement
Works well. I just wished it would always stay connected to the bluetooth. The app needs work. Overall ok to monitor the MPPT controller and batteries. Went with the bluetooth.. I've read the WiFi version has a lot of trouble connecting. Again it would be nice if the bluetooth would always stay on, the same goes for the wifi version. An auto refresh option on the app would be nice too.

Bad vendor and product.
Do NOT deal with Goland Century! I bought this Bluetooth version and it doesn't work at all.Pairing is non standard and when it does work the software is substandard and disconnects all the time. This is installed at my cabin which I am at every couple of months on average. I also have no radio contact up there either. I wanted to return it but was convinced several times over to wait until I got back to the cabin to try some other technique they suggested. Long story short, too much time passed and now I have to pay for the return shipping (to China no less) to get the wifi version. I'm not convinced that will work either given its the same Android app anyway.Stay far away from this vendor and this product!
