DMSOSTORE Lanolin 100% Pure Unrefined Sheep Wool, USP Grade, 8 oz

I have been using this for 7 months and this is my experiance.I use this as part of my day and night facial routine.It's consistency is very very heavy kind of like petroleum jelly but a whole lot firmer and thick thick! It also depends on the room temp. You do not need a whole lot. Works better than any chap stick out there in the market. I did have a hard time adjusting to it's thickness but over time it's become a norm for me and I have figured exactly how much I need for what body part.The consistency so very thick that you cannot rub this if you want to put on your face. I more rub it on the palm of my hands make friction to heat it up a little and pat my face and neck. Rubbing on legs and arms is easier. Note your hair may stick to your face sometimes. If you have dry skin this is the product for you. I have oily and dry combo type of skin and this is amazing. I use it on my elbow and knees as wellI got the 8 oz size and am not half way yet but I mostly use it on my face and neck not body unless I'll be showing skin and need to look mousturized.SummaryIt feels thick waxy oily all at the same time.It smells is not bad but it has a scent I cant describe. After using for a while I don't notice it anymore.I recommend it for sure may not be for everyone but give it a chance and time to get used to it and you will love it!

For me this is the very best lotion for my dry cuticles/hands and the heels of my feet. It is a bit gooey and hard to apply, but I generally only use it at bed time. Sometimes I will use it on my hands during the winter days when my hands are the most dry and I will be having them in water a lot. Because it is so thick and water proof this lotion actually creates a barrier and protects my hands from exposure to water.The pro for me is it works magic keeping my skin soft and healthy. Cons are it is thick and harder to apply than most lotions and it has a slight 'sheep' smell.

Best substitute for Vaseline. I used a similar product for my nipples when I had a baby. Heals cracked skin really well.Might not be the best smelling g for some folks, but I like its natural smell.My family uses it for our lips, scrapes and scratches for my baby and her dad, and I still use it on my nipples to soothe them, since I'm still breastfeeding.I also use it to soothe bug bites and anything that needs soothing.It's pricey, but you only need to use a little, so it's going to last long.

I have rough sandpaper skin on my face, especially in the winter. I've tried lots of emollients that help some. DMSOStore Lanolin works. I put it on wet skin at night and in the morning, my skin is soft and fresh. The lanolin is thick, like a really soft wax. I rub it between my hands until it's spreadable. It's whiteish when it goes on, particularly it you put it on wet skin, but becomes clear once at body temperature. This is not some foo-foo perfumed cream; it has an slight earthy smell that I find pleasant. Some reviewers say it smells like the back end of a sheep. Ah, no. I have sweaters than smell more like sheep than does the DMSOStore lanolin. I'm glad I found this product and appreciative of the space in my bathroom after I threw out a lifetime's collection of ineffective lotions.

I have always admired the way that the hair products with lanolin in them have made my hair feel and respond. I bought the 100% lanolin to use as a base for other oils that I wanted to incorporate into my hair care. Putting them all together made sense to me so that I wouldn't have to grab this grab that wait a minute pour this, and so on. I am very pleased with the product when I did blend and whip everything together you could tell the lanolin was evident. My hair feels so very soft and retains moisture and, a surprise, it was resilient enough with the moisture to actually twist some coils! I had never been able to do coils before none of the products I used worked! Now, I did not proceed to do a full head of coils. I use plaits as a protective style for my hair. What I can tell you is that when I took the plats down a week later there was still moisture in my hair. I love what lanolin does for me and I will be ordering this again. I urge you to consider it if you have the type of her I do: the type that wants to grab the wheel and drive. Five stars for this item.

The product is ok, but I will shop around for something less sticky.

I used this for a beard oil mixture that I make. It helps provide some viscosity (thickness) to the oil without it feeling like it's a balm. though the lanolin smell is noticeable, I did not think it was as strong as some expect. I was hoping it'd be a little stronger.As far as moisturizing, it keeps the beard oil steady through the day and helps hold shape. I did not notice any issues with itchiness, but that it keeps my beard soft.

This lanolin is the best - it's a constant purchase for us. If you don't know about lanolin, or are curious about it, know that it isn't a lotion or gel, it's literally wax. It's waxy, it's sticky, it's kinda greasy, but it WORKS. It works like a million bucks. Man, it feels good on cracked hands, feet, or dry skin. Give it a try, but be aware that this is waxy and it does smell like a barn, but after a while you get to love both of those aspects anyway ;)We often make a home mixture of 1/3 lanolin, 1/3 coconut oil or hemp oil, and 1/3 regular hand lotion - this helps it spread easier and absorb better.
