So Vibrant in HydroStone
The media could not be loaded. This is at 5% in HydroStone. I was expecting it to be less vibrant but was pleasantly surprised. It became even more vibrant as it dried. The initial order came delivered in a bag so the bottle had been crushed and power pigment went everywhere when I opened it. The replacement came in a box and in perfect condition. If you get a bottle in an Amazon bag be careful opening!

Easy to use
I bought this to color some stucco I was using on an outdoor sculpture, and it has a nice dark color (the right part of the sample board). I also experimented with using less to get a lighter shade and dabbing it on previous stucco, to add some shading (the left part of the sample board), which we ended up not doing, but it probably would've worked. A little goes a long way.

Does not work with cement as advertised
I purchased blue pigment. It does not dissolve in water. Tried it in water first to mix it...it floats and will not dissolve. Then I mixed a new batch of pigment into dry cement and stirred it, added water, coloring / pigment floated to the top and would not desolve. After mixing cement / pigment/ water for 5 minutes it still floated to the top :(Can't use it in cement / concrete, poor outcome in 3 tests. Poor pigment ??

The PERFECT blue pigment!
WHY the devil is blue pigment SO hard to come by for concrete work?? Dunno. You see lots of red and yellow hues, but no blues. SO here it is. Depending on the volume of concrete used, you may not need to use much. I was working on a in-water background for a large aquarium, coloring small batches of hydraulic cement covering styrofoam. Tedious work. The amount of colorant I used at a time was really minimal compared to the amount of cement for the hue I needed; the result was sublime, perfection itself. The beauty of it is ... I have lots more left over for other future projects!! Great stuff, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Deceiving ad
This pigment is not a bright yellow like the picture in the ad. It is a pale yellow. I used some of it to see if it would brighten up after processing it in my cement candle jar, no such thing. I wanted a bright yellow like in the photo.

Really vivid color!
My testing: smears from right to left on edge of bowl are 1 tsp grout to 1/4 tsp color, then 2 tsps, 3 tsps, and 4 tsps (all 1/4 tsp color). When everything is dry, I’ll select the one I like best for my project, which is a small mosaic. My base grout was alabaster unsanded. If you want to get to a particular shade, TEST TEST TEST! There’s no reason to do your whole project and then be disappointed because you didn’t test. The color is vivid and mixed easily, which is exactly what I wanted.

great economical pigment
for artists, painters, or construction projects where some color will bring some creativity, this simple blue pigment has a variety of uses. Very consistent powder granule size (very fine), and dissolves easily.I hope the come out with other colors in their pigment line. Very happy. Recommended.
