GreenTech Environmental pureHeat SNUG Plug-in Wall Heater - Electric Heaters for The Home, Office Space, Bedroom, and Garage - Superior Heating Technology with Safe-to-Touch Housing

I've been using the pureHeat SNUG for 6 weeks, and I'm happy with my purchase. I bought it for our bathroom, about 10' X 12'. Here's what I can tell you: it puts out a decent amount of heat, especially for a unit of its size. I like the vertical design and the size, it fits nicely under our sink and doesn't take up much floor space, at all. We use it on the floor, as mounting it on the wall outlet wasn't an option for us. Be clear, that it most definitely works with GFCI outlets, so long as you use the attached cord.I was under the impression that I would have to attach the heavy-duty power cord, but it's the other way around, as it came with the cord attached, which would have to be removed only if mounting it on the wall on a duplex outlet.Pros: size and decent amount of heat output, especially considering that it's 1000W and not 1500W like many other heaters (I'm waiting to see if my electrical bill will reflect this, as I replaced a Vornado 1500W/750W heater/fan).Cons: only two, as others have noted the mild "turbine" whine that the unit makes when operating, even though I'm used to it (which can't compare to the whisper-quiet Vornado), and the only thing I actually dislike, which is the placement of the power switch on the bottom side of the unit. All controls are on the top of the unit and easily accessible, but for whatever reason they designed it with the power switch on the bottom side of the unit. It's easy to reach the fan High/Low button, the temp Up/Down buttons, and the Timer button which are all on top. But, to turn the unit On and Off, you must reach down to the floor and it's pretty much a two-handed operation, with one hand on the top or opposite side of the unit from the power switch as leverage against toggling the power switch. If there were one thing I would change, it's the location of the main On/Off switch.Bottom line: I'd buy it again, and I hope it lasts as long as the years of service I got from two Vornados.

I have been using the Green Tech Enviro. space heater for about 1week and I will say I am pleased. It gives control over the desired heat - which my previous space heater I used didn't, and it was at least 6" taller and about 2" wider, but did not put out the heat like this Green Tech heater. I use the sturdy plug cord version as the area I have does not have the room to attach it to the wall. I use it in our bathroom - which is a large room adjacent to the master-bedroom and with no separate door. So I set the temp on the heater to 70° and when I emerge wet from the shower I am not chilled. I have had no issues with it getting too hot and switching over to a cool mode. The heater itself is slightly warm to the touch but not hot. It is louder than my old space heater, mainly in that I am aware it's on but not like I have trouble hearing if my husband is talking to me. I like that it's compact and may eventually move it to other rooms if needed. I do miss that it does not have a "handle" of some sort to pick it up at the top, but it is lightweight so it poses not problem.

Update: going on second winter with this heater. I’ve often had heaters last one winter season only to quit working when I try to use them again. Not true with this heater! I’ve used it consistently for the last month after taking it out of storage. Still Works great! Heats up quickly and maintains temp. Fan does cycle on and off to maintain the temp but noise is minimal and not a bother. Due to the low amps it has not shorted out my breaker as other heaters have done in my old house.I’ve recommended this to my friends and family.Have had the heater for a week and it does a great job. Our bathroom is small but freezing! It heats up the space very quickly. In fact I had it set for 70 when we first got it but had to turn it to 65 cause the room was too hot!! Very quiet too. I like the small profile. It also is truly cool touch. The air coming out is hot but the vents on front do not get too hot to touch. We have tried several other heaters in there over the years and they all burn out because of the humidity from the shower. Since this is made differently I’m hoping it lasts! But in the meantime it’s working great!

I love this little heater. I own 4 of them. We live in a three story townhouse with lots of windows and there are always cold spots in the house in the winter. These little heaters provide lots of heat quickly, and they don't become warm to the touch. I use them as space heaters rather than plugging them directly into a wall socket and they work perfectly. However, one caveat DON'T DROP THEM. One accidentally slipped out of my hands as I was moving it. It didn't drop far as I was leaning over and shifting it from one location to another. However, it hasn't worked since. Other than that, though, this is the best, most efficient, and easiest to use space heater I have found.

So glad I found this unit. I have a back bedroom that has always been too cold, it has always been like there is NO HEAT in that room, but I wanted to start using it as an office so I tried this. Wow, what a difference! Now that room for the first time ever feels like the rest of my home, comfortable!Love that you put it in an outlet since I have dogs & wouldn't want it getting knocked down or knocked over. It even has another outlet you can use since it will be using both outlets.I had a bit of trouble getting the case off the back to get TO the plugs so I could put it in the wall --- but finally worked it out. Think even after I took out the 4 screws I was afraid I would break it -- so I was overly cautious but used a butter knife to lift it up & there they were! You don't have to plug it into the wall receptacle since there is a plug but if you want to it's a really nice feature.

This heater works really well and heats a room very quickly. It's a little noise, but it definitely does the job. Worth the money!

I bought this to use in a room that is attached to my garage that can be used as a guest room. It really heats up the space. Very happy
