Good Earth Lighting 22-3/4-inch Plug In Under Cabinet Light, White

This light fixture is made out of metal not plastic it is very sturdy, the cord plugs in to a regular wall outlet and is already wired in the fixture end. The only assembly was if you want is to mount this which is very easy. The bulb itself is of a thinner type then a similar size one it replaced, supposed to use less electricity, I don't know about that but it is super bright much brighter then what it replaced. The on/off switch is easy to access to as I have it mounted under a cabinet over a kitchen sink and it is more then bright enough for that job.

I purchased this fixture to replace the model GU9721 fluorescent light that i got at Lowes. The one from Lowes was a cheap piece of crap.There's three types of fluorescent light bulbs:1. Soft white (yellowish, dull)2. Bright white (not toooo bright, provides nice light)3. Daylight (very bright, for spaces that get little\no natural light)Another nice feature is that the bulb that shipped with this fixture appears to be a Daylight bulb. It gives off a terrific amount of light. At 14 watts it lights up nearly my entire kitchen!Two negatives:1. it lasted only 3.5 years before failing.2. instructions, which mention something about a 'diffuser' that's not found in the package or on the light. I easily worked around it.I do not recommend this light fixture because of durability problem.

Even for a thumb bumbling fool like myself, this was a breeze to install. Bought to shed light in a kitchen food prep area, that was shielded by overhead cabinets from the overhead light source.Strongly recommend this product for similar uses.

This light is perfect for under my kitchen cabinets. The instructions were easy to follow, minimal labor to install and it works great. Just remember this is a fluorescent light and not a soft, yellow light.
