Mrs Bridges Lime Curd, 12 Ounce

Was baking a cheesecake for a friend and wanted something different Fresh limes are difficult to find sometimes but I have used lemon curd before. Combination of Lime curd and Lime marmalade made it a memorable cake Well priced and timely delivery.

I am disappointed in this curd sadly this is not as nice as Mrs Darlingtons, seems less tart , so glad they have a web site! but it is only my opinion mrs bridges lime curd might be ok in tarts etc

I am an aficionado of lime curd. Do I have something to serve it on? No matter, I'll spoon it straight from the jar. This is a hard product to explain to those who have no conception of what a "curd" is. With lime one might say it's subtly tart but with back notes of robust sweetness. That's what one would say if one were an effete food critic. What I say is that it's one of those few special flavours that really does not lend itself well to description however, once you've tasted it, you're hooked. on anything, it's good. I accidently dropped a dollop of it in some scrambled eggs once and, with the bleu cheese already there, a taste sensation. The best part about it is going into one's panty and just randomly pulling out things to see how lime curd might go with them. My latest discovery is how good it is in oatmeal.....and I'm constantly trying new ways. If you've not tried it, please do so, it's a modestly price treat that I believe you'll love. If you already love it, why are you reading this? Go get your jar and we can sit here and eat it on or \with or..... just straight from the spoon. (To preserve your supply, use a child's tea spoon, you'll still eat it all it will just take longer.
