Do not waste your money
These hood covers are absolutely rubbish. They're over an inch too small. And all of the molded inserts do not fit the profile of the holes on the R8000 levers.So disappointed.

Difficult to install but acceptable fit
The old hoods on my Ultegra R8000 weren't fitting as well as the should - I suspect that 3 years of sunscreen, etc had expanded the rubber a little bit (more on the right side than the left) It was nice to have this replacement hood. The rubber has a grippier feel and is a little more stretch than the old ones. I recommend doing this on a warm day as the rubber is easier to pull over the brakes. Hand sanitizer really helps lube the hoods to get them on - I sprayed soap water under them to get the olds ones off

Not Shimano OEM part...it's *almost* as good.
These lack the Shimano branding on the outside of the hood, but otherwise look nearly identical. Unfortunately, the material is more glossy / less matte than the factory hoods...and I like the feel of the factory ones better, so I took a star off for that...I was hoping they'd be a perfect match so I wouldn't have to replace both hoods after I tore the factory one in a wreck.

Not compatible with R7000 shifters
These third party replacement hoods are everywhere. Even if they were good quality, they are not compatible with R7000 shifters as advertised.
