Well, I was in need of the Chinese type butcher knife for cracking coconuts. I saw this and decided to give it a try and it didn’t disappoint. Good weight and super sharp. Nice looking and well-made.

Extremely sharp and can basically cut anything. It passes the paper cutting test with ease. I love the overall weight and wooden handle. Keep in mind this is great for chopping meat and veggies, would not recommend chopping bones. There are other ones better for that.

I got this cleaver to add to my set of knives because I didn't have something substantial enough to do some heavy duty chopping. It is very beautiful! The metalwork is high quality and has a full tang handle so it feels solid. The blade is quite sharp right out of the box. One thing I will say, as with any high quality knife, this is hand-wash only. It would be a sin to put this through the dish washer. Make sure you dry it as soon as you are finished watching it to maintain the finish. You will not regret getting this cleaver!
