I put this in my 2013 mini countryman. Both reasons were very successful! I wanted apple car play and a backup camera in my car. The Apple car play works beautifully. Full functions, very good and reliable wireless connection to my phone. I use the aux out to connect audio as my car cannot support BT for that. Works very good but not quite 5 star. I bet if my car could connect through its BT my sound would be perfect. As far as the backup camera, it is wonderful. Easy install, the cable run through car took the most time. Picture is bright, clear and great view angle. No errors on mini dash, no capacitor or relay needed. Switches on and off perfectly and display performs as expected. Vendor support excellent. I had a request to purchase a second camera and their response was timely and satisfied me. Great system, great vendor.

This unit overall surprised me. From reading the reviews I was concerned about sound quality through the FM transmitter and the aux cable as well as call volume and clarity. I was hoping to be able to use my car microphone for phone calls. To my surprise I was able to connect the audio output of device to my car bluetooth. This was accomplished through the carplay/auto audio output setting and having both the device and my car connected to my phone via bluetooth (pixel 7). Through these settings I am able to use my regular bluetooth car settings and my steering wheel controls for apps and volume and phone calls. The software must be new update as the manual does not show this as an option or describe the different audio outputs, I found it through playing with the device. If your phone can support multiple bluetooth connections this is a great choice as sound and phone calls will be similar to your current car bluetooth capabilities, provided your cars has bluetooth built in. Where the unit is lacking is the accessories, they are cheap and not very sturdy. The size of the arm for the suction cup is too short to allow me to reach the device safely while driving. The suction cup only works on the mirror and not my dash, yours may be different. I am purchasing a different mount to be able to better reach the device while driving. If it were not for the surprise bluetooth connect I would have returned the device due to the accessories being so lacking, but the additional functionality is worth the cost of purchasing a new stand.

So far so good. It paired up easily, and now syncs up every time I get the car. After about 15 seconds of the startup screen, another 15 seconds of the main screen, it automatically opens my last used app - usually the Waze - on Android Auto. Equally good sound quality from the audio input jack and the FM transmitter, so I'm using the FM with no issues. Overall, the Android Auto works just as well as the factory unit in my wife's car.As far as installation, that will of course vary by individual. The package included a suction cup mount for windshield installation, and a second mount with two sticky back gaskets that seemed to work good enough (time will tell on that). The mount is slightly visible in the pictures, stuck to the top of the opening behind the unit. I also had some commercial Velcro in the house, so I added a little at the two bottom corners. I won't be needing to move the unit, but Velcro works great if it will block an area that may need to be accessed later. So far, so good. I wish I had done this a long time ago.

The media could not be loaded.  Device works. OK, screen is responsive. My issue is with the back up camera feature. It does not come on when I put my vehicle into reverse. I have to manually touch the camera button. It is receiving power through the four pin out of the device, not the reverse light indicator. When I initially installed it, I tapped into the reverse light and it did not work correctly so I disconnected the reverse light and the camera remains powered. It is receiving power through the device, not the car. Any assistance would be helpful to correct this because I specifically chose this to have my back up camera come on while in reverse .

This item has fluctuated in price tremendously. When I first bought it it sold for $99.99 here on Amazon. Then, since I liked what I initially saw, I bought a second one during Prime Days and paid $55.99 (after coupon). Today, as I'm reviewing this item the regular price remains $55.99 (after coupon). What am I supposed to make of this?To be honest, my initial reaction is not a positive one. Why reduce the price so much and keep it there if it is such a good product? Makes it seem like something must be wrong.Fortunately, my initial lookover seems to indicate otherwise. To be fair, I've only been able to look at away from the vehicles I plan to install them in so it isn't much of an assessment/review. So, bottom-line, I'm relying on all the other positive reviews for my initial rating. I'll come back and update my review post-installs.Finally, this isn't a unique product. There are others offered here on Amazon that seem to be twins (or least, siblings). So my recommendation is to look over before commiting to this one. But if you do decide to grab this item I think you'll probably be satisfied. Other than over-paying for the first one I've been pretty satisfied.4 stars.

This 7” car play screen is great. Even though we have a small 10-year-old car, this works just like Apple CarPlay with voice commands too and the screen is bright and clear. We had some questions about installing it, and our customer service rep Christy was so helpful. Definitely recommend this product and company!

We all hate to admit when we are wrong and should have listened to our husbands. Sadly the day has arrived, he was write. I never should have bought this and listened when he said he read countless reviews of people saying it would work for a day and then would eventually stop working. I had so many issues getting it to connect to Bluetooth. This was so disappointing.
