Doctor Omega and the Shadowmen

Wold Newton goodness
For whatever cursed reason, Wold Newtonists won't touch Dr. Who himself, but will utiliise Dr. Omega, a coincidentally(?) similar character, at the drop of a hat. This sounds like a complaint on my part, but I can't turn away from the results -- crossover goodness with someone who is _not_ The Doctor (wink-wink) as the hero.

Doctor Who?
In this collection of short stories (mostly or entirely from Black Coat Press's "Tales of the Shadowmen" anthologies), the BCP's Doctor Omega ventures forth into time and space with a variety of companions. The stories vary from the very interesting to the absurd. The ones that are interesting are a bit short. Now, I am a Dr. Who fan but I appreciated a Doctor Omega that was a bit different from Dr. Who. While the original Jean-Marc Lofficier adaptation hinted at the Dr. Who connection, this collection of tales dives headlong into it. The stories are a fun read but mostly fluff. For that reason and the dive into Whosville, I rated it a little lower than the original novel.
