If there’s one thing my granddaughter loves it’s books with stickers, and an added bonus in ‘Sticker Dolly Dressing - Movie Stars’ is that one of the characters has the same name as her which attracted me to this book. On closer inspection I’ve decided to put this book aside for a year or two as I feel my granddaughter is still a little bit too young to fully benefit from what this book has to offer. (she’s almost two and a half).My first impressions - the paperback front cover is shiny and eye catching with pretty sparkly metallic stars scattered around the illustrations of the three ‘movie stars’ Mia, Summer and Jenna.On opening the book and reading the first page I immediately realised that this book was targeted to children slightly older than my granddaughter as the characters are young women who are working in the movie industry. I felt that there’s a depth of story here as well as the fun side of dressing the dollys with outfits from the stickers. So to fully benefit what this book has to offer I’d say this book is suitable for children of school age, at least around the age of four.Going through the book, I liked that there’s various scenarios ‘an audition’, ‘keeping fit’, ‘historical drama’ (a personal favourite!) and numerous other interesting stories so the outfit options in the sticker section is lovely and varied.In total, after the scenario sections with the characters, there’s ten pages full of wonderful stickers to ‘dress’ the characters up in. The stickers are bold and bright and would undoubtedly keep a child (or adult! who am I to say a maximum age here, I am very much looking forward to playing with this and have had to stop myself from doing it without my grandchild! ha!) amused for hours on end!I am wondering if the stickers will be the kind that are easily removed and replaced or whether once stuck to the page they will be stuck fast. This is something I will add onto this review once I know for certain.Overall, I think this sticker book is cracking! It’s trendy and cool, the characters are relatable, particularly to children who are perhaps interested in drama and/or fashion. One thing I will say is that the three dollies are a little too similar and I think perhaps they could’ve been made to look more natural in terms of body shape and size which mirrors the differences of young women’s bodies in real life.On the inside cover there are images of the other books available in this series, ranging from Fairies and Woodland Princesses to Horse Riding and fashions of long ago, so there’s something for everyone in terms of subject.
