We enjoyed the robust and smooth flavor of the coffee after the beans were crushed. Same delicious cup of coffee every time.

I really wanted to like this coffee, but the first sip and I knewI didn’t like it. It has an almost floral smell and taste which for me is not what I was looking for. I didn’t want to just throw it out, especially since it was a large bag, so I cut it with another coffee I like very much and that helped tremendously. Unfortunately I won’t be purchasing this coffee again.

The biggest thing I want was from a dark roast is a vary deep rich taste this coffee has none I had a samara dark roast with more flavor. This coffee reminds me of Eight O'clock coffee at 4 times the cost.

I brewed this coffee for about a month using a variety of brewing methods. I have a Breville Barista Express, aeropress, French press, cold brew, and Chemex pour over. In my experience this did fairly well with all of them but was best in the French press and cold brew. I did manage to pull a few really nice shots of espresso with it but after a couple weeks I was no longer able to do this. I think the freshness had degraded to the point where it just wasn’t working. There was no “roasted on” date on the package just a “Best By” date so I do not know how fresh it was. Overall I was a little disappointed in the flavor. I’m not a coffee expert but I’m a fairly discerning taster and this tasted like robusta to me. It almost had a Starbucks-like quality to it – a bit of a smoky aftertaste/finish. In a blind taste test I would’ve guessed it was Starbucks. The beans were a little bit oily. I enjoyed this well enough but I don’t think I will order it again. I just wasn’t impressed.
