Trimmed and still doesn’t lay flat.

It actually fitted perfect around the litchen faucet which is a bit leaky and now thr wstwr just rolls off this into the when when it leaks and is no more damage to my backsplash

We got this splash guard because we were seeing yellowing on the countertop behind the sink due to hard water stains. We are hoping the splashguard will reduce that since the water splashes on to it instead of the counter when we wash dishes etc.The guard is made of good material and works as intended. However there are a few points to note; the splash guard was a little too deep for the area behind our sink so it hangs out an inch or more in the front, which is not a bad thing to drain the water. The longer depth also means that it's not a perfect fit around the faucet, which may cause some water to get under the guard. Due to the slit in the back to fit the guard around the faucet, the guard does not quite lay completely flat agains the backsplash, and causes a gap on one side or another.We got the black guard because it looks great in the picture, but did not realize it will also show any little food or soap residue on it. So it needs frequent cleaning to keep clean. However, the guard does look nice and it has ample room for a scrubber and a couple soap bottles on it.Overall, we are happy with this splash guard and it's better than having nothing on our case. It is doing it's job and we hope it lasts a long time.
