The Dark Eye – Core Rules Pocket Edition

I love the hardcover size of the Core Rules book for this awesome game at the table, but when I travel, carrying that large book can be cumbersome.The pocket edition is perfect for travel. The content is all the same but in a smaller form factor on high quality paper. I love having this book on the go in my backpack.

The system seems very interesting to me, and I look forward to running my group with it when my turn to GM comes up. However, I have only had the book for two and a half months, and pages are already starting to fall out. I am careful with my books, and you can see from the picture that there has not been abuse, but pages are falling out none the less. I really like how the system sounds, but the book quality leaves something to be desired.

The source material is fantastic it's the size of the pocket edition. Makes reading the text very difficult. Go with the regular book size.

Ho partecipato alla campagna Kickstarter di The Dark Eye, ed ho tutti i pdf.La possibilità di avere il manuale del gioco in un formato facilmente trasportabile ad un prezzo decisamente basso (per il settore), mi ha spinto all'acquisto, e ne sono rimasto davvero soddisfatto.414 pagine su carta patinata di ottima qualità in 16,5 x 21,5 x 1 cm di spazio.Il regolamento non è immediato, ma una volta appreso regala grandi soddisfazioni. A differenza di Dungeons & Dragons o Pathfinder, si sente in ogni pagina il background culturale europeo, con un'ambientazione simile al medioevo, più cupa e "sporca" rispetto ai due titoli USA citati prima, ed il sistema permette di calarsi fino in fondo in questa realtà alternativa con grande facilità.

excellent pocket version of Germany's premier Table top RPG. The book looks beautiful and good as any thing by Wizards or Paizo. The system it self is a low fantasy with magic users not being over powerful. Character generation is complex and game play slightly less so not to every ones taste

L'imballaggio purtroppo non era adeguato. Troppo leggero e poco robusto per ammortizzare le sollecitazioni dei corrieri irresponsabili. I danni sono superficiali, angoli schiacciati e frizioni varie sulla copertina. Davvero un peccato per un edizione speciale con copertina flessibile.Il manuale merita come contenuto. Questa edizione invita all'acquisto per il formato e per il prezzo, anche per una persona che non conosce il sistema e la sua storia. Ho gradito lo stile, l'impaginazione e davvero molto le illustrazioni.
