Perfect for teaching
Used these all through my dance career to learn how to fine tune my pirouettes and foutes. Now, as a teacher, I highly recommend investing in one. Board is well made and can be extremely slippery on a hard wood floor. Turns decently on Marley dance floor as well. All in all great purchase. Highly recommend. Turn safely, and in an open area.

Her main ballet instructor said he does not like these as they do not teach proper foot placement ...
My daughter has been dancing for over 5 years by still has a little trouble with the "perfect" turn so i bought this item for her. A little confused how to use the product as it had no insteuctions she brought it with her to her dance school to ask for help from her instructors. They each had an opinion on this product. Her main ballet instructor said he does not like these as they do not teach proper foot placement and technique. The other said although it doesn't help with proper technique it helps with the core and balancing so they are good in that aspect. So the conclusion on this product from dance instructors is it is good to strengthen your core for turns but not proper turn technique.

We got our money's worth for sure
We like it, it spins better on the hard wood floor than the carpet. My kid used it non stop immediately and the next time she got on the ice, she was easily spinning in her skates and now she only uses it when the mood strikes. I think overall, it was a great purchase for the price.i think if I had purchased a more expensive version, it would still have seen the same amount of action. At the end of the day, it taught the girl how to spin and how to not get dizzy spinning for long periods. No damage to the floors.

You might get this in light pink, not blue..beware
I can't actually speak to the product itself, but i'm disappointed that I ordered this and it says "blue." The box that I received says blue on the box and the turn board is light pink. Will it kill her to use pink? No. Does she like the color pink? NO! At second look, the box has a "pink" label, which is partially covered up by a "blue" label.

Great for figure skaters
We were told to get this curved spinner vs the expensive figure skating spinner, and it’s been amazing. It’s helped my daughter to perfect her spins for figure skating, and m challenges her core strength in the process

Wouldnt recommend for ice skaters
Its a 5 stars because the product absolutely does what it is promised and the quality is good. But as a figure skater, the spinner that uses a double plated 'lazy susan' sort of mechanism is far better. I imagine that this spinner is likely better for ballerinas.
