I bought the 3 pack that had hot, medium and mild (I forgot this by the time it arrived and I used it ;-)The hot is on a scale, for me, of being about an 8 (of 10 is too hot for me to enjoy) I realize that this is a personal reference but let me just say, I enjoy "heat" as a flavor but not heat for hotness sake - I would never be in any hot eating contest.The flavor is really bold, strong, and you will have to judge for yourself if you like it - I did.I used them on pork chops and on tri-top cubes that I used for tacos (added cheese, olive and sour cream)

Love these! I use them in chili, stews, casseroles, you name it. Each one has a different heat level and flavor. Worth the money!

Three intensities, mild, medium and hot. Cracked open the medium while I made a big pan of enchiladas. Very delicious and an excellent way to add color and heat.

These went into my fridge right next to the squeeze tubes of lemongrass paste, tomato paste, and anchovy paste. When you use a few teaspoons in a recipe, the tube closes nicely with no airspace to spoil. Best invention ever!The medium heat chili paste has made my homemade chili con carne recipe top tier!! My favorite tortilla sopa azteca uses the guajillo-ancho combo. The chipotle goes into quick dipping sauces and rubs on my roasts going into the oven. NEVER stop making these, Herdez. They are great!

These are decent alternatives to chili pods if you want something quick and easy but it does not have the same taste or consistency as chili pods.
