VKWE Men’s Hernia Truss, Adjustable Support for Left/Right Inguinal Groin

Well I was really thinking about getting this. I thought, "Its a bit cheap , in comparison to the others. They say 'You get what you pay for'". I am so glad I didn't listen to my grumbling. It'd fantastic. I have worn it for 3 days now ( I think ). I HAVENT NOTICED IT ONCE. That makes me so pleased. As well s the support it gives. I had visions of it slipping down. Or getting that bit of elastic ending up feeling what I imagine a troubled G string would feel like , and me having to hitch it down frequently. BUT NOOOOO. IT STAYED PUT. I was worried because I only have a 28" waist. But I thought " phht I can adapt it " Again Noooo I didn't have to. It held and supported me where I need it 100%. I thank the makers and sellers for this so much.for quality and price.. I couldn't figure out where the pad went, I mean which side of flap did it go ?????. So I just turned belt so anything not smooth would be away from the body. Whatever. It feels fine. YES I do wear them over boxers as in the advert. Yes I took some pics. NOOO NOT IN MY BOXERS . I not posting my legs . So put it on over my trousers . But you can get the jist of it, I hope. It's well worth buying ...Really 👍🏻 I HAVENT had the opp.yet. btw gulp.

To echo the other reviewers, it’s amazing how often something so simple works so well. Initially feels awkward to wear, but you forget it’s even there after a couple of minutes. I regularly run 5k whilst wearing one, and I quickly forget I have it on (well occasionally I’ll need to remove the under-strap from my arse crack). You will need to wear boxers or trunks to stop the plastic keeper chaffing between your legs. Velcro on the waist strap is very very secure, so once you’ve found a suitable length you can leave it in place forever and just remove the item as you would remove your boxers. The Velcro will stay stuck together in the washing machine. I have 2 so I can swap them out when I do laundry. I haven’t had to use the egg yet, just a folded up sock is currently sufficient.

I purchased the VKWE Hernia Belt for my husband who was in distress and after he found it to be practical and comfortable. Fine when it does what it is supposed to but doesn't always help

I've given this 5 stars as for me it works. It may not suit everyone as everyone's hernia is different and needs vary, I know this as I assist surgeons who perform hernia surgery. First off this is the same hernia belt as advertised elsewhere for twice the price, the only difference is a stitched on logo, so don't go thinking you are getting a superior product, you honestly are not. I wear this belt around my hips which is the best position for me, my hip measurement is 105cm and there's a bit more stretch in the product so hopefully this will give some an idea of size. I've attached some photos to give folk an idea of what it's like, it's functional and pretty comfortable (for me) though you know it's there and depending on how active you are it will need adjusting at some point... especially after going to the loo...Take the few seconds you need to get it right, it really will improve the wearing experience. The under crotch strap is the most critical but to get right and you may need to change the style of your underwear as it's probably not a good idea to have this rubbing on bare skin, as I can perceive some chaffing happening which won't be nice. If you want to wear this regularly ie every day, you need to wear it over your underwear, this might sound obvious but apparently it isn't, so you can go a few days without the need to wash it, this also helps with overall comfort. It comes with 1 large 'egg' shaped/sized pad, which is quite firm and depending on where your hernia is it could definitely show as a bulge, so it might not be as discreet as you'd like. My hernia is in my lower groin and it isn't that noticeable as I wear my shirts/jerseys etc over my jeans/trousers, if I was a tucked in kinda guy then the bulge would show, but not much. Pressure adjustment is via the Velcro on the elasticated waist band, again you need to work out what's best for you. I used the 'egg' and it took a few hours to get the position and pressure right, but it worked, I didn't experience the distracting quite painful burning sensation that I was getting, though I still got a numb type of sensation it wasn't painful or distracting and I can live with it, hence the 5 stars. I've included 1 photo that shows a blue pad attached to the 'egg'. I've experimented with not using any padding and just tightening the belt, it was effective for a few hours but the pain eventually came back. I now just use a bit of padding (you can see the thickness compared to the egg) instead of the 'egg' and can remain pain free for most of my working day, it's also reduced the numb feeling + there's no bulge either. All in all it's helped me manage my pain and I'm very happy about that. Fingers crossed any surgery (whenever it happens) will help, but until then this (for me) is the best option I have for maintaining the quality of life I have. Hope this helps?

Having read the extremely helpful review below by the assistant to a hernia surgeon, I opted for this belt even though I was tempted to go for something more reassuringly expensive. I have a left inguinal hernia and a waist of about 35/36 inches & I've found this belt extremely useful and comfortable. It stops my hernia popping out during the day. I can continue running, so it's a real godsend until I get reviewed for possible surgery. I haven't had to use the egg-shaped pad yet. The velcro on the belt is really strong and keeps everything secure. It's quite a personal injury, so it's helped me feel less vulnerable too. I may buy another one if I need to alternate them to wash or have one for everyday wear and one for running. Great value and highly recommended. I hope this helps others to choose as there is a lot of choice out there!

Excellent device. Fitted perfectly. Absolutely no pain from my hernia since I started using it. Can walk and cycle completely pain-free. Ordered a second one to allow for laundry.

Been wearing it for a few days now and it's perfect. Took a couple of hours to get used to but now I don't really notice it. Probably best to wear it with boxers or briefs, guys, as the strap may cause some chafing to the top of the leg. Non intrusive and no issue if you need to use a urinal, if you know what I mean. Came with the straps assembled so I just stepped into it and adjusted the straps a bit. The straps are attached with velcro so no messing with any buckles, etc. Haven't had to use it with the 'egg' yet as the pressure seems good enough for me currently and I have not had any flair up or pain since using it. Good product so I'm going to get a second one to wear whilst this is being washed.

Für 10€ absolute Kaufempfehlung. Wenn man es richtig anlegt, erfüllt es perfekt seinen Zweck. Man hat die Hände frei um die Hausarbeit zu machen und die Bruchstelle erfährt einen leichten Druck zur Entlastung. Man sollte auf jeden Fall eine eher enganliegende Boxershorts tragen, da eine lockere samt Klettband sonst schnell zwischen die Bäckchen rutschen kann. Die Klettbänder halten sehr gut und das Produkt wirkt wertig. Ich habe es nur im Stehen benutzt, zum Autofahren war es mir zuviel Druck auf die Leiste. Für die Zeit vor meiner Leistenbruchooperation war es eine sehr gute Unterstützung den Alltag mit zwei Kleinkindern zu meistern.

Der Druckpolster mit Klettverschluss ist leider viel zu dick aufgepolstert und drückt daher zu punktuell und zu fest. Stellt man aber die Bänder lockerer, dann verrutscht der kleine Druckpolster irgendwo hin, wo er gar nichts mehr nützt.
