Should have ordered with the bag originally!
I put this on what is essentially a B7 Flight Echo (different parts, about the same dimensions). I love it! The ability carry a 20 pound flight bag like a backpack is awesome if you ever need to walk long distances. When not in use, the straps can be folded and stowed with very little and almost unnoticeable added weight or bulk. The inside pocket is now occupied by the straps, but can still hold checklists or a thin book (think like starting logbook) with no issues. The outside pocket was shrunk vertically to accommodate the lower strap buckles. As far as quality goes, the straps give the impression that they are designed for occasional, but not regular use. However, they also do not seem like they would fail if they were used regularly. They seem thin, but well constructed.

Great for making your bag a backpack
Its great for making your bag a backpack; however I wish it was easier to store the excess strap material.

Works !
Bag got too heavy to lug around when not on top of rolling bag. This solved the problem.

Disappointed at the quality.....
I will preface by stating the following. I am a CFI at a busy 141 school. I purchased the B7 early on as a student and quickly became obsessed with it. The bag has held up nicely, but as I use it day in and day out I notice the deficiencies within. That's another review. So the Backpack straps or The rear cap pack as they call it was a gift I requested and got for Christmas 2023. It is now April 2024 as if this review. I didn't start to use the pack cap right away so I can say with confidence the wear and tear in the pics is from 3 months of use. From the pics you can see how the seams began to frey and fail which transfered to the inside of the straps, the part that rests on shoulders. I was disappointed to say the least with the lack of quality for a product that bills itself as a premium product and the price conveys that.In addition to the lack of quality in materials here is some more info you should consider. The straps are great to carry "hands free". That said the pack sits awkwardly on your back. The straps can't bee adjusted to keep the weight proportional and keep the pack vertical. It always seems to rest on your lower back pulling on your shoulders from the top away from you. Yes you can mitigate that by pulling the straps so tight that you can no longer remove the pack with ease. I believe this is caused by the reverse adjustment on the straps. Unlike traditional backpacks the straps on this cap have the the adjustment buckles at the waist and not on the bottom of the shoulder strap. This makes the adjustment very awkward and it never seems to fit/adjust correctly as you have to adjust up vs the traditional downward motion with a regular pack. That said I hope that Brightline is able to take this feedback and incorporate it into the next version(s) of the cap pack. It's a good idea just not fully there yet.PS. The shoulder strap the bag came with also freyed pretty quickly and all of the cushion material fell out. Will review that product as well.

Strap falling apart
After about 2 weeks of using it one of the shoulder straps is already separating with the stitching. That's only from putting it on and taking it off.
