Scotty #133-16 Well Nut Kit (16 Pack)

2 of them pulled loose as the plastic heated in the sun. I was able to resolve the issue by loosening the bolts, pressing hard against the Scotty base I was attaching and re-tightening the bolts. Other than that all installed quickly and easily, holding a total of 4 Scotty bases for my Sun Dolphin 12 foot boat. 2 for rod holders, one for my fish finder and one for the anchor lock.

Drilled 3/8 inch hole as the instruction indicated. Rubber well nut pulled right out of the hole with little effort. Tried 2 more times tightening more with new nuts. All pulled out. Was just trying to mount my cart wheels on top of kayak for storage. Can’t trust them to hold with any strength. Ended up putting them in the drilled hole with silicone to simply prevent leaks . Would not recommend.

Purchased these well nuts for attaching accessories to my polyethylene sit-on kayak. They are of standard good quality and are as good as any others I've purchased over thirty years of kayaking. Be advised, however, that well nuts are usable only for attaching lightweight accessories. Accessories which receive significant force, such as rod holders or motor mounts, will pull them out. Although tri-fold rivets are stronger, stainless steel bolts washers, and nuts are the only suitable hardware for securing these accessories.

Seem to be ok quality, not sure if this is a knock off or not, these didn’t come in a Scotty package.

I'm not sure why there are negative reviews for this product. I'm probably above average when it comes to "doing stuff around the house". I followed the directions. Used the drill bit exactly as described in the instructions. Secured by Scotty mount in about 5 min. Had no problems placing the rubber Well Nut into the hole. They work exactly as directed. If you follow the directions there should be no problems.

Used to secure rod holders and downrigger holders on kayak

These well nuts are basically a fix all to an extent. I use them on my kayak and have never had a leak or reliability problem. I had drilled my anchor trolley to high and used two of these to fill the holes. I use two as a pull chord when wading upstream and they hold super tight.

work as advertised. sturdy construction, but had missing quantity in package. however Scotty did send me a full pack in addition to solve the problem.

Like any Scotty product, they are high quality and get the job done

Work as intended, unfortunate that the current new packs don’t fit with their originals they sold 8 months ago so I had to get a few more packs.

As expected and arrived quickly

Not much to say. Sent quickly and we're what they said they would be. Screws are not special but I was after the nuts.
