These install easily over a standard wall plate. The color is white, so it won't look the best with ivory, brown, or plates of colors other than white.I like the fact that it's possible to defeat the guard by accessing the toggle from the side. The devices provides a reminder not to inadvertently toggle the switch on or off, while providing the opportunity to test the switch and the circuit.I have enabled "smart home" LED bulbs that are accessed via Alexa and smart phone commands. These guards a reminder for people not to mess with the manual switches, which are always left in the "on" mode.

These are a perfect compliment when you update to automated lights using Phillips Hue and an Alexa device. In an emergency you can still get to the switch with a little effort on one side. Installation is a breeze. They look much better than a piece of tape over the switch. Being white you can paint them any color you like if white is not what you want. I bought a dozen and have already used every one.If you are looking for something to completely block the switch from a child or workers you might want something else.

this is one of those products I truly loved because do the work just fine and they blend with the switch wall plate very nicely. Since I installed them, it prevents people from turning on/off incorrect switch!

I use these to stop the indoctrination by the elite educational institutions teaching our children that lights are evil and to turn them all off! Or I just use it to keep the motion lights outside on in case my wife accidentally turns them off.

Work perfectly, and a good value for the price. Goes on right over your switch, using the same screws as the wall plate. Easy to install, takes thirty seco ds at most. Just be careful nit to over tighten the screws, wall plates need tto be held firm, but too tight and they will bend or even crack.

I purchased this item to use over the switches in my toddlers' room in hopes that it would prevent them from constantly flipping the switch on & off. My toddlers figured it out in a matter of seconds. While it would work as a deterrent from turning a switch on and off for rational people, it certainly didn't serve the purpose for which I purchased it.

Prevents people from toggling the switch accidentally but still allow for toggling if so desired like emergencies for example. Fits our switch plate perfectly, affordable and arrived on time. What else can I say? Five stars!

We had switches that turn off the plug on the wall where the TV was connected and we kept turning our TV and cable Box off. These switch covers look nice and they keep you from switchings things on or off that shouldn't.
